24.01.2022 J O D I E + M A T T H E W It's been a busy couple of months here at Smile! In fact I shot more in a 3 week period than I have all year I have been gradually working my way through my editing backlog, putting in the hours and am finally hitting my wonderful Spring weddings that I have had the pleasure to photograph! How lucky we were to find a field of paper daisies right by Jodie & Matthew's ceremony location at the Place of Reflection, a hidden treasure amongst the garden's of Kings Park Not only am I a little obsessed with daisies (has anyone seen my engagement ring??) but I love how the colours of these daisies perfectly complement Jodie's amazing hair!
23.01.2022 It's definitely looking like Christmas here in the Smile! Studio as I package up all the Christmas Orders /Weddings /Portrait Sessions that have kept me so busy these last few months! I am hoping to finally get chance to share some sneak peeks later today from my sold out Christmas Minis, like this image below of the Martin Twins who I have been photographing since they were just two years old! Whilst shooting at my Christmas Set, I noticed some magic light dancing in the bushland behind so couldn't help dragging them away from the Christmasness to capture it! *** Looking for a last minute gift? 08.01.2022 Smile! Christmas Minis My Christmas Minis began this past weekend despite Mother Nature giving me a bit of a scare with a storm the day before!! This year's theme is "Boho Christmas" and I wanted to pare things back a bit and create a simple earthy set, in contrast to the usual gaudy Christmas offerings.... I was lucky enough to have my friends' uncle build my rustic "Christmas Tree" Arbour for me (thanks Uncle Paul!) and the amazing Byron from Blooms and Horne took my "earthy boho Christmas" description and ran with it, creating me a number of beautiful pieces including this amazing floral masterpiece that crowns my tree arbour AND withstands the salt lake breezes! I love it! I am just in the processing of editing the first round of Christmas Sessions, so have plenty to share in the coming weeks & days (including my second set!) What a fantastic afternoon it was catching up with all my regulars and hanging out with the little people I have been photographing since they were babies!

Christmas Minis - Day 1 The first day of Christmas Minis was a success, the weather was kind, set survived the strong Salt Lake breezes and galleries delivered within days with Christmas Cards and Portraits already in production! I loved seeing all my fave little people and was spoilt with high fives and cuddles Many of these families have been coming since my first minis 7 years ago and I have seen their families expand and children grow. The kids also know m...e and coming to hang out with me is a fun experience that they look forward to each year. I like to think I offer one of the most unique and deluxe Christmas Session experiences in Perth and am extremely proud and grateful to my long list of regulars who book me out year after year. Thank you to The Carlé Family, The Western Family, The Jones Hulme Family, The Keeping Family & The Commons Family for choosing Smile! for the 455th time I am being silly, but you will never know how grateful I am for your support Yesterday's Day 2 cards are downloading as we speak and I am so excited to share some sneaky peeks in the coming week!
