Fluorosis occurs when too much fluoride is consumed: generally as a child! ... You May notice white spots on your teeth when you wake up in the morning that go away after a few hours.. this is often caused by sleeping with your mouth open, which causes the enamel to become dehydrated. Whitening your teeth can sometimes bring out your white spots after a treatment. Generally white spots only last for a short time after the treatment.
