24.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Brushing regularly is considered vital for healthy teeth and gums, but dental experts warn that you can overdo a good thing. Known as toothbrush abrasion, overbrushing can lead to sensitive teeth and receding gums. You still need to brush your teeth twice a day for 2-3 minutes and floss daily. Its the technique that needs work

21.01.2022 Time for #ToothTipTuesday! Of course, reducing sugar intake is one of the best way to prevent cavities. However, fluoride also plays an active role in fighting tooth decay! It mineralises the enamel and helps it fight off the acids released from sugar.
21.01.2022 Another day, another TEETH WHITENING result! These before and after results will leave your family stunned around the Christmas table. Give yourself a little present and get your smile ready for the holidays!
20.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday is here once again! Do your teeth a favour and keep on brushing. Adequately brushing your teeth for the recommended amount of time can help you prevent cavities and gum disease. It also promotes better smelling breath. Who doesnt want that?

19.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday time!! Real QUEENS and KINGS stay hydrated Drinking water is good for your teeth because it:... Keeps your mouth clean! Plaque finds it harder to build up in a clean, hydrated mouth. Dilutes acids from foods and drinks to help protect your teeth. It fights dry mouth. In this way, it helps produce saliva which is your mouth’s first defence against tooth decay. Gives you fresh breath by removing odour-causing bacteria Prevents staining of the teeth See more

18.01.2022 If you have good oral hygiene habits and a healthy mouth, your dentist and dental hygienist will probably suggest professional teeth cleaning at least twice a year. For those who have not practiced the best oral hygiene ie. not brushed twice a day and flossed daily, a more regular trip to the dentist is recommended. Many dental insurance policies will cover two cleanings per year, but few people take full advantage of their benefits.

13.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday ! When teeth come in, start brushing twice a day with a soft, smallbristled toothbrush and plain water. Visit the dentist by your babys first birthday to spot signs of problems early.
13.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Brushing too hard or using the wrong toothbrush can damage your teeth and gums, leading to problems like enamel wear and receding gums, which can in turn lead to tooth sensitivity - OUCH!
12.01.2022 Just another #ToothTipTuesday for you! How to clean your tongue: Position your toothbrush at the back of the tongue. Brush lightly forward and backward along your tongue. Spit out saliva that appears during the brushing and rinse out the toothbrush with warm water. Clean your tongue as often as you brush your teeth.... 11.01.2022 Another staff birthday to celebrate in social distancing style! Happy birthday to our youngest employee, Joy
10.01.2022 A #ToothTipTuesday to start our day! When you dont change your brush in the recommended amount of time, the bristles can become frayed. Frayed bristles are less effective in removing plaque and food debris around the teeth. This can lead to a number of oral problems starting from bad breath and leading to more serious issues.
09.01.2022 D I A M O N T E We love adding this tooth accessory as it completely transforms a smile!
09.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Were all supposed to floss once a day, and were sure youre already doing that. Right? However, the most effective method of flossing is to floss in a C shape. That means you put the string between your teeth and go around the whole gap to get all that is stuck and hiding there. We wouldnt want anything left behind to cause cavities, staining or even bad breath

08.01.2022 C H R I S T M A S Christmas has officially arrived at Smiles Unlimited! The decor is up and Santa is on his way to reward all the kids (and adults) who brush their teeth twice a day for 2-3 minutes a day.
08.01.2022 When you have finished brushing, try to spit out the toothpaste and don’t rinse with water. Leaving some toothpaste on your teeth is a really great way to give your teeth some extra ongoing protection. - The Australian Dental Association

07.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Time! Pop quiz : What is the purpose of teeth? A) To eat and chew.... B) To look nice when one smiles. C) To open things like a tool. D) To support the lips and cheeks. Those who answered "C" have flunked the pop quiz. Yes, while teeth can "technically" be used to open packages, remove tags and even hold certain items, prolonged use of the teeth in this tool-like manner is sure to result in damage. And why make an additional trip to the dentist office aside from the recommended twice a year for a professional teeth cleaning?
07.01.2022 Here is a brightened smile to brighten your day! Nothing like a tooth whitening before and after to start our week .
06.01.2022 Have a look at these implant before and afters! These results look fresh, clean and fabulous.
06.01.2022 Our amazing patient and friend Simon Ralph gifted Dr Nabil this incredible luxury bottle of Scotch. Just what the dentist ordered We love your visits Simon!
06.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Now you will have to clean more than just your teeth and getting around the brackets and wires can be slightly challenging. When you wear braces, plaque has more places to accumulate and build up. While manual toothbrushes can get the job done, an electric one is far easier to use and can clean those hard to reach spots in your mouth like your back molars. We hate to sound like mom, but remember to brush twice a day, for at least two minutes!
06.01.2022 We wish our amazing dental assistant, Riva the most wonderful birthday! We hope you have a blessed and fruitful year. Thank you for being a cherished member of the Smiles Unlimited team

03.01.2022 #ToothTipTuesday Time! Impacted wisdom teeth are third molars at the back of the mouth that dont have enough room to emerge or develop normally. Impacted wisdom teeth can result in pain, damage to other teeth and other dental problems. In some cases, impacted wisdom teeth may cause no apparent or immediate problems. But because theyre hard to clean, they may be more vulnerable to tooth decay and gum disease than other teeth are.

02.01.2022 Victorias Secret declared bankruptcy. Zara closed 1,200 stores. Chanel, Hermes and Rolex have stopped production. Nike is getting ready for stage two of layoffs. AirBnb founder says that due to the pandemic, 12 years of effort were destroyed in 6 weeks. Starbucks announced the permanent closure of 400 stores. And the list continues... Five months since the pandemic started and it has created huge debts, many of our friends and family are out of work and unemployed with tens ...of thousands of businesses now out of service. If the company you work for continues, no pay reduction or layoffs then treat it well and have respect for what the owner(s) must be going through to keep it going. 2020 is about survival, leave the daily complaints/moans and anything else minor behind, be thankful and show respect for what you have. Work hard and show your boss/owner/company the appreciation they need and deserve. *copied from elsewhere lets spread it.
