21.01.2022 Hi everyone! We have been receiving some inquiries regarding family & friends camping on-site with competitors so we just want to clarify: If you have a team of LESS than 6, you may bring family and friends as long as the total number in your team does not exceed 6 (for example you have 2 people in your team - you may bring 4 additional people). You will need all of your own camping equipment ie. tents/caravan/camper-van for your powered site. ***If you are bringing more than... 1 large vehicle to the site please send us a message so we can organise parking areas / make sure there will be enough room for everyone**** This is to ensure that the hired shower/toilet facilities will be enough to cover everyone's needs. With potentially 30 teams of 6, we will have up to 180 people sharing the camp facilities which is quite a few! We do not have the facilities to power additional caravans/camper vans and if this is needed, Goondiwindi town has camping facilities roughly 20 minutes from the site location for your family and friends that are tagging along. 08.01.2022 Hello again everyone! Another update for our event - we have just been approved as a charity sponsor for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia for Queensland. We are incredibly proud to be supporting this amazing Australian charity that helps so many people in need. All funds raised will go towards the replacement of ageing aircraft and to update vital medical equipment so that the RFDS can continue to provide medical assistance to all Queenslanders wherever they are ...in the state. 06.01.2022 UPDATE: *please note competitors are still to come on the 11th and 12th for 2 days of cooking. The public is to come out on the Sunday 10am for the actual event. Only competitor teams (max 6 people per team) are to camp on the property - not friends and family. If you have less than 6 team members, family or friends may stay with you as long as the team does not exceed 6. This is to ensure there are adequate amenities for everyone. * Please take a read through this as there h...ave been some minor changes to the event. There are now 4 categories and the total prize pool is 20K (prize breakdown per category to follow). If needed, competitors may come out on Friday night to set up and camp both Fri & Sat nights.
