19.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Shire Music Theatre needs your help. We currently store all our costumes, props and set pieces at the old Canterbury Bowling Club, 15 Close Street, Canterbury. Unfortunately we have to move everything out by the end of the month. We are going to use the opportunity to downsize what we have and then will move what is left in to storage in the Shire. We desperately need help to cull and move things over the weekend of the 25th and 26th of July from 10am-4pm.... Any time you can spare will be so gratefully received! 18.01.2022 Vale Duncan McDonald It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Duncan McDonald, a long time member of Shire Music Theatre and the local music theatre community. We pass on our sincerest condolences to his friends and family at this time. Duncan’s mother, Tracey has asked that this sad and tragic message is passed on to the Theatre Community:... - - - - - - To Duncan McDonald’s dear friends, It saddens me to tell you the terrible news that following a recent accident, Duncan has passed away. He was in his unit at Jannali where he slipped, fell and hit his head. Neighbours called the ambulance but he did not make it to the hospital. Because of this the Coroner has had to be involved and it will be at least two weeks before he is released back to us. He loved you all and often told stories of the fun and adventures he had in your company. Thank you for being such great friends to my dear, wonderful son. I have his mobile 0407 485 538 and if you would like to send him any messages, I will print them out and give them to him to carry when we say our last goodbye.
