22.01.2022 Hi folks. I am the brother of the lad who had a severe psychotic episode on RU OK day, precipitating the siege on Chepstowe Rd. I'm writing to you to dispel rumors, clear the air, and clarify the situation. Feel free to publish. The 'lad' had been building up for a week. Numerous attempts were made to engage with psych services, GPs, even police.. he wandered back out the door each time, more distressed. Abnormal behavior occurring within the family home made me evacuate e...lderly mother to another sibling in Gippsland. When I returned the following day, off it all went. A major cry for help, or something... No drugs were involved, nor firearms. He did self inflict a few knife wounds, and was tasered in a takedown. Currently sectioned in mental health, finally, and receiving care. Much thanks to local uniformed, and specialist police, most especially CIRT. No dead brother, yeeha. Andrew Stevenson- Dickson. This afternoon our rescue crew were responded to... two separate collisions at the same time reported to be on the Western Freeway. These incidents had very similar circumstances but two seperate locations, one location was at Burrumbeet the other was Warrenhiep. There ended up only being the one incident at Burrumbeet. This incident put a lot of pressure on all emergency services with crews racing to both scenes. It is very important to know your exact location. Emergency + (plus) App can help with this. This is a national app that shows users their location coordinates using GPS built into smart phones. When users call Triple Zero (000) to an emergency, this app enables them to tell the emergency call-taker their exact location. Information on other national numbers including Crime Stoppers, Health Direct and the National Relay Service is also available on the app. When activated, the built-in accessibility features of a smartphone can audibly describe what appears on-screen. 12.01.2022 I highly recommend the free Emergency Plus app, it had slipped off my installs but put back on now: I was out for a walk this week and realised that if I saw someone collapse nearby I'd be calling 000 and be fumbling to find GPS co-ordinates.
