25.01.2022 Tonight at 6:00pm, Bootcamp with PT Nicola. This class runs on mondays and wednesday night, bootcamp is a full body workout with a mix between weights are cardio based exercises. Come down tonight to check it out!

24.01.2022 SALMON TERIYAKI STIR FRY BOWLS. THIS RECIPE IS NOT ONLY SUPER QUICK, BUT ITS ALSO PACKED WITH NUTRIENTS AND HEALTHY OMEGA-3S! INGREDIENTS 2 sockeye salmon fillets... cup roasted chickpeas 2 cups cooked white rice 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (+ more for serving) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 carrot, julienned 1 zucchini, chopped Salt and pepper to taste Soy sauce for serving DIRECTIONS 1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add carrots and zucchini. Cook, stirring occasionally, until zucchini is translucent (about 5-7 minutes). 2. Preheat oven broiler and place salmon fillets on a baking sheet. Brush one side with half of the teriyaki sauce and broil for 3 minutes. Turn fillets over and brush the opposite side with remaining sauce. Broil for another 3 minutes, or until salmon has reached an internal temperature of 145 F. 3. Divide rice between two plates and top with roasted chickpeas, carrots, zucchini and broiled salmon. Serve with additional teriyaki sauce or soy sauce.

17.01.2022 Having you been enjoying our yoga class But doesnt always feel relaxing and restful. Our days can be hectic, leaving us overwhelmed and stressed out. When its time to get down and start practicing, our minds are busy, chattering away and thinking about everything but doing Yoga. And thats exactly why we wanted to share a few tips to quiet your mind and allow you to stay focused on your practice. Focus on Your Breath Ahhh the breath. Its always there for us. Guiding us, ke...eping us grounded. Thats why its a great anchor to return to whenever we find ourselves distracted while doing Yoga. Breathe in. Breathe out. Count that as one. Try and go to 10. Then start all over back at one. Thats because our minds are busy. Theyre continually playing random moments from our days and predictions of the future, thats what they do. You cant silence your thoughts, so dont even try, but you can ignore them as much as you can. If you start becoming frustrated with your inability to focus, be gentle to yourself. Continually bringing your attention to the present will help you stay grounded, helping to give you a sense of calmness. Focus On Your Body If youre finding that focusing on your breath isnt quite working, try focusing on your body. One way to do that is to keep your mind on the area of your body that youre stretching. If youre in a downward dog, do a check in. Are your shoulders tight? Can you feel them loosening up? Is there pain anywhere (if there is, youre stretching too far)? Are your legs shaking or are they feeling relaxed? Whatever is drawing your attention, stick with it as much as you can. And just like with your breath, if you find your attention wandering off, gently bring it right back. Close Your Eyes This last tip may sound a bit intimidating, but you dont have to be an expert Yogi to keep your eyes closed for many poses. Having your eyes closed helps you focus more on yourself and not everything in your surroundings. This is your time and you want to maximize it by removing any form of distractions. Simply closing your eyes is an effective and easy way to do that.

11.01.2022 Our 5 Nutrition tips for long term health! 1. Eat more fruit and veg The vitamins and minerals (a lot of which are antioxidants or have the same effect as antioxidants) found in fruits and vegetables are protective against disease. Everyday living causes stress to the body; breathing, exercising, eating, all of the things we all do every day, cause stress to the body. So when it comes to fruit and, veg especially, the more the better!... 2. Always leave the dinner table knowing you can eat more This isnt easy, due to human evolution we are wired to eat as much as we can, but eating until youre 80% full has long health benefits. 3. Read Nutrition Labels Unfortunately, many processed foods contain much more added sugar, salt and fat than we would expect. This is why reading ingredient lists and nutrition labels is so important! The three keys things to look for are: where sugar and salt sit on the ingredients list the further down the better Ideally the product contains less than 5g per 100g of saturated fat preferably the product doesnt contain trans fats 4. Dont get swept up in fad diets and food trends There is a lot of misinformation on the internet these days, so if you decide to give something a try, make sure you do your research, gather your information from credible sources or talk to a health professional. 5. Finally, what top tips can we learn from those who are living the longest! Blue Zones For those who havent heard of Blue Zones, these are areas in the world where more people enjoy long, healthy lives than anywhere else in the world. In fact, people living in these parts of the world are three times more likely to live to 100 than Australians are. They consume a diet made up of mainly plant foods, beans, nuts, seeds and whole grains, they eat meat sparingly, drink red wine often (but not in excess) and engage in purposeful movement daily.

01.01.2022 Who else loves eggs on toast? Eggs have a great amount of protein and healthy fats to help fuel your workouts! Check out this recipe to try next time you have scrambled eggs. INGREDIENTS 1 whole Egg 3 whole Egg Whites medium Avocado... 1 tbsp Natural Yoghurt cup Cherry Tomatoes cup Asparagus Spears cup Mushrooms 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme 1 serve Salt and Pepper 1 thick slice Gluten Free Bread 1 wedge Lemon METHOD Step 1 Pre heat oven to 200C. Step 2 Place tomatoes, asparagus and roughly chopped mushrooms in a baking dish, season with salt and pepper and toss with thyme. Step 3 Roast until tomatoes begin to burst, approximately 10 minutes. Step 4 Add egg, egg whites and natural yoghurt to a bowl and season with a little salt and pepper. Step 5 Whisk lightly with a fork until combined. Step 6 Spray a little olive oil in a frypan and place over low heat-medium heat. Step 7 Pour in egg mixture and stir gently until the eggs start to set and become creamy, 2-3 minutes. Step 8 Transfer scramble to plate alongside toasted bread, avocado and roasted vegetables. Step 9 Serve with a wedge of lemon and season with salt and pepper.
