24.01.2022 A bit of real talk on Carbs from our Trainer Jill Posted @withregram @jc_strength_au CARBS. This is something close to my heart. A bit of history on me. I’ve always been involved in sports - netball/tennis/snow sports/swimming/gymnastics...now Powerlifting. Up until I found Powerlifting...I followed the current diet fad that was going. My goal was to stay as small as possible (not eat for performance as I do now). I have done it all - intermittent fasting, keto, 1200... or less calories, you name it I had a shot at it. All diets I got results, because calories in calories out (calorie deficit). All diets I had to fight for energy and constantly reaching for mood/performance enhancer (read fat burners and pre workout). Then I researched eating for performance and gave myself a big forehead slap....I’d got it all wrong. CARBS....my energy increase was insane. My mood changed instantly. My alertness was crazy. It was like I found myself again. Crazy thing is - I was scared of carbs....since adding them back in my physique has improved so much and I’ve never looked better. I’m not a nutritionist or Dietican like @aidan_the_dietitian or @valentinaahhh or @theguyetitian and I’m happy to refer you to them for advice. Have a look at your diet before reaching for supplements. Are you eating enough. #powerlifting #worldpowerlifting #powerliftingaustralia #carbs #carbsarelife #performance #healthylifestyle #gwpl See more

23.01.2022 We are RE-OPENING! Unfortunately due to the requirements for reopening we may now not be able to reopen the club tomorrow as we previously stated in our last post. We should be reopening this coming Tuesday, however please stay tuned for a confirmed time and more details.... We’re sorry to get everyone’s hopes up, however we are still working on finalising our COVID-Safe plans with head office so we can be cleared to reopen the club as safely as possible for members.

23.01.2022 Snap Fitness Queensland is getting ready to welcome you back in club VERY SOON, with the recent Government update that we are allowed to re-open from noon on Mo...nday 1st June. However, some important measures need to be put in place to ensure everyone's safety, and we meet the Government guidelines via a COVID Safety Plan, set to be released tomorrow. With this in mind, our clubs will re-open over the next 48 hours and each club will open at a time they can meet the above requirements. It's important that you check your clubs Facebook page or the website for the most up to date opening information for your club as it will vary per location. Given the short notice period to re-open, please be patient with us, we are working as quickly as possible to get our doors back open and provide you with the safest environment to workout in. We are excited to see you back in club! Now is the time to get back into fitness or bring your fitness back indoors, re-set your goals and get REAL RESULTS. Snap Fitness is here to support you every step of the way, TOGETHER we are SNAP NATION!

21.01.2022 While our clubs are out of action, Snap Fitness Australia are putting out some great live workouts for you all! Be sure to give the page a follow and give the workouts a go!

Stay tuned for the final official result in a few weeks time once all rounds of the National comps have been completed.

18.01.2022 24/7 is Confirmed! Members, from Midday tomorrow (Friday 3rd July) we will be able to resume 24/7 operation in line with the QLD Governments Stage 3 Easing of Restrictions! Here’s what will be changing:... 24/7 Access (Every member will need to swipe in upon entry) Increased Capacity to 1 person per 4sqm Full amenities available including showers Staffed hours will revert to a more normal schedule What will still be required? Social distancing between members (1.5m at all times) Towels to be used by all members at all times Bring a bottle (no drinking directly from bubbler) Clean all equipment before and after use with the supplied wipes (and make sure equipment is put away after use) We’re pumped to almost have the club back to normal operation and get even more of our members back into the club!

18.01.2022 We are reopening tomorrow! Members, we have finally just been given the green light to reopen our doors to our members and will be doing so at 12pm tomorrow. We will initially be opening without a booking system and will be closely monitoring member numbers in the club to ensure we don’t go over the 20 person limit.... Due to the restriction of 24h operation, our new temporary staffed hours will be 5am-11am & 2pm-8pm Monday to Friday, and 7am-12pm Saturday. We will not be staffed on a Sunday however. Memberships have been set to reactivate on Thursday, and your regular billing date will continue as it was previously from then on. We understand that not everyone is in a position to resume their memberships at this stage, so we will be happy to help with extending membership holds. We will also have some more detailed info up on our website shortly. Looking forward to seeing our awesome members back in the club tomorrow!

12.01.2022 Members, as you may have seen, this afternoon the QLD Government announced that Stage 3 Easing of Restrictions has been brought forward to this Friday 3rd of July at 12pm. We’re currently waiting for all the finer details to be released so we can’t say much yet on what changes will take place, however from the looks of it we will have a solid increase in capacity for members in the gym. We don’t currently have any info around 24/7 access, but stay tuned and we will provide more updates as soon as we find out anything further!

12.01.2022 What a massive week it’s been! From being given a single day’s notice that we can reopen the club to getting everything ready to be able to reopen our doors on Wednesday, and then having so many of our amazing members back in to start up their training again. We’d just like to say a massive thank you to our members who have made it back to the club so far, it’s been great to see our amazing community fire back up this week and we’re really looking forward to having even more ...of you back in the club this coming week! Bring on week 2 of our reopening!

10.01.2022 SPRING IS HERE! 06.01.2022 - Quick update - We have been working today with Head Office on our reopening plan and going over all the regulations that we need to adhere to in order to reopen our doors. Unfortunately due to the very short notice we’ve been given, we still have a number of requirements that we need to complete which means we will have to push back to a Wednesday reopening.... We understand everyone’s excitement to get back into the club, and we’re excited to have all our great members back in the club training, however we want to ensure we cover all of the requirements correctly and have the club completely ready to go for you all. Here’s a few details we can share however about what things will look like initially: - members will only be able to train during staffed hours. No 24h access at this stage (we will have staffed hours finalised tomorrow) - maximum capacity of 20 people in the club at once (it sounds like this may possibly be expanded sooner rather than later once we have a full COVID safety plan finalised) - we are exploring the option of a booking system for the short term in order to make accessing the club as fair as possible - we will have plenty of sanitiser and cleaning supplies and the club will be cleaned regularly through the day for your safety Please stay tuned for more info and confirmation of our re-opening!

05.01.2022 If you haven’t already seen our current staffed hours until we are allowed to have 24h access, here they are. We are open for members to train during these times, simply come into the club and we can sign you into the club to train, no bookings needed!
