16.01.2022 Update time. For anyone wanting their hair done, I have roughly about a month before I take 6 weeks off. Forms for back surgery have been submitted. No date yet. But I have been marked urgent- 30days or less. ... So if you need doing, give me a buzz, and I’ll try to fit everyone in before hand. Xxx

14.01.2022 For those who haven’t heard, my surgery has been rebooked to this coming Monday. So if you missed out on getting your hair done, we have another week to play with. Send me a message with what day suits you best and we’ll get you sorted out. After the operation I will be taking 3-6 weeks off depending how my recovery goes. 11.01.2022 Hey everyone, I will be having surgery this coming Monday. And will be taking six weeks off to recover. There is a possibility that I can return to work earlier, if everything goes to plan. So if you are in need of a haircut before stop work, and are free during the day tomorrow (Thursday). Please give me a call as that is the only day I have left. Otherwise I can put you on my call list for when I return to work. ... Thanks everyone for your support through this timing, xxx

11.01.2022 Just wanted to update everyone on where I’m at and what the plan is. Besides missing seeing everyone and craving getting back to work. I’m going stir crazy with all this lying around crap. I am meeting with the doctors, Physio and OT next week. And I am PRAYING I will be able to get back to work the next day. I know that’s so unrealistic. But let’s hope I can at least get back to light duties. My pain is manageable right now and that is the main thing... So what actuall...y happened. Short of it, I threw my back out. Slipped the L4 and L5 disc and in result, have two pinched nerves running a fire of nerve pain down my leg. I spent a week at home flat on my back, to end up the following week in hospital (thank god I did) where I got so bad I ended up in a wheel chair. The decision was made to do spinal injection nerve block on both nerves, (ouch is an understatement) , and a couple of days later sent home. Surgery is still on the table if the injections don’t work. But so far so good The injections although I still have pain, have helped some what. I’m told it will take a while for them to fully work. I can walk and sit for short periods of time, but still have a fair amount of pain which is getting less and less each day. And I can do short drives. The rest of the time is spent lying down. I’ve caught up on a lot of my reading and Netflix. But there is nothing like actually seeing people. Each day I am trying to do a little more, and build up strength without killing myself. I am so not used to doing nothing. What’s going to happen when I get back to work? I will start with light jobs. Haircuts only in the first week. Colours and haircuts the second week, and perms and everything else towards the end of week two and into week three. I will have to rearrange how I lug my equipment but that will just be a matter of being more organised and only bring in what we need to do your hair and not drag in the whole suitcase. So fingers crossed it won’t be much longer and I’ll be running around again. But I’d like to thank everyone whose been waiting for me to get better and thank you to all those who have sent me well wishes. I appreciate you all so much, Jude xxx

10.01.2022 *One week post op* I just wanted to share this stunning blonde from before I had surgery. I am missing working but I’m definitely on the road to recovery. Another couple of weeks and I’m hoping to be back visiting again, xx
