21.01.2022 We often get through things together. It’s often a nicer path than being alone. I invite all those impacted by the Dunn’s Road fire in the Snowy Valley Council to please share your story. ... My name is Alistair Mills. Being Military for 15 years and Ex-Military for 15 years, I’ve learned how to address and get through Shock, Devastation, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and Loss using natural techniques without prescribed drugs. In my life over the last 15 years I’ve come across some incredibly important people in a healing rebuilding journey and I seek to introduce these amazing people to those of you who may be impacted by the Dunn's Road Fire and facilitate you with their techniques which I’ve found really work very well. Coupled with that 11 years ago my parents lost their home in Marysville Victoria on Black Saturday along with 31 of their friends. Being able to be there for my parents and having experienced Shock, Devastation, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and Loss has helped me understand what people experience in Bushfires and may be able to help you come through what you've just experienced on the back of drought. This page is for you who were impacted by the Dunn’s Road fire, Graziers, Orchardist's, Timber workers, Town residents, young, old, employed, retired and all who live in the Snowy Valley Council area Dunn’s Road fire to let us people in this network that will grow hear your story, hear what you need and be there for you as you re-create your lives. At the beginning of my journey 16 years ago, one of the most important things I found was to tell my story without shame, guilt, blame or fear. I just needed to tell people what happened. I needed to be heard. At first I felt ashamed and guilty and blamed myself and blamed others for what happened. These feelings are entirely normal. There is no guilt in how you feel. The most important thing is to express exactly how you feel. Being able to share our stories is a really important step. I invite all those impacted by the Dunn’s Road fire in the Snowy Valley Council to please share your story. You might want to do it via a mobile phone video so we can see you and hear your words and hear you in your own words. Also videos are good because you don't have to type it but please type it if that's what you like doing. We need to hear your story. We need to hear what you need. We need to hear how we the people can help you. Aussies are really good at helping mates who have been through the mill especially when we understand what you've been through in your own words. 11 years ago I witnessed the help that those in Marysville received. It was inspiring. Please share your stories.

14.01.2022 The Morrison and Berejiklian Governments today announced they will share the costs on a 50:50 basis for the clean-up of residential and commercial properties destroyed by the recent bushfires in NSW. This follows the successful approach adopted by the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments following the Black Saturday bushfires. https://www.pm.gov.au//nsw-bushfire-clean-contractor-annou
