15.01.2022 Socks ‘n’ Jocks is a not-for-profit community support initiative created and founded by Grace Rey in 2018. Having worked a short time in Real Estate, Grace decided it was about time that someone did something about supporting the homeless in regional Australia and then beyond. In 2018 she launched the Socks ‘n’ Jocks initiative on a bootstrap budget and generated incredible support from the local Shoalhaven community and businesses for the homeless in the Shoalhaven area. Wi...th a successful first year, Socks ‘n’ Jocks is gathering momentum in order to generate more awareness in other NSW South Coast communities and looking over time to expand nationally. Currently, she is speaking with several major corporations to provide financial backing for next years Socks n Jocks campaign with a vision to expand nationally over time. 12.01.2022 Wanted Staff for a pop-up store at the Shellharbour Stocklands Shopping Centre. You will have essential retail experience, good people skills, good presentation... and the ability to engage in a positive way with the public. You need to to have significant retail experience and take pride in yourself and the product. Your enthusiasm will win me over. Our pop-up store is offering the largest selection of calendars and Diaries. We have over 1400 different titles . I shall also require 4 to 6 staff members to help prebuild the store before opening. This would be on the 8th Sunday from 5pm for 4 - 6 hours. I also need 1 or 2 to work with me at the store - retail hours part-time. If you are keen please me for a brief discussion first. 05.01.2022 Do not throw old suitcases out. Donate them to the homeless. They often have to cart their few belongings from place to place and need something to store them in.
