17.01.2022 The Google Nest x Yale digital deadlock is not generally available in Australia but can be purchased online. It differs from the retail Nest Assure lock available in hardware stores because it has built in connectivity to wifi wherease you have to purchase on-line an add-on zigbee or zwave module to achieve the same thing with the retail version, by which time you've spent more than the cost of the Next Yale. Expect to pay around $500 including import duties, delivery and e...xchange rates. As it is a deadock, you'll need to ensure that your door can stay closed by itself with a latch or knob. Also, this wont work on glass or if you have a mortice lock. Other than that, it is an excellent addition to your home automation which will integrate nicely with Google Home and Nest.
