24.01.2022 It was only a few weeks ago when COVID-19 restrictions started to ease following the decreasing number of cases in Victoria. However, cases are now increasing in numbers. Due to the growth in numbers, up to 800 health workers will be conducting COVID-19 tests in 10 suburbs including Keilor Downs, Broadmeadows, Maidstone, Albanvale, Sunshine West, Hallam, Brunswick West, Fawkner, Reservoir and Pakenham. The Victorian Government encourages communities living in these suburbs ...to get tested (even if you do not show symptoms). If you have been unwell or have tested, please stay home. There have also been other new testing stations set up at Melbourne Showgrounds and Highpoint Shopping Centre. Practise physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres and follow medical and government advice. Most of families I visited were originally from Somalia. One of thes...e families has been unfortunately waiting for medication for the past two days. I'm pleased to visit this family and others deliver their medication. Community representatives need to be allowed to take part in this operation to ensure families are supported appropriately and in a timely manner. As always, please stay safe and healthy Farah
