21.01.2022 Happy new year everyone! Hope 2022 brings you everything that you hope for. Strive for those aspirations and remember to prioritise yourself as much as you can

19.01.2022 I say this with love Please remember health and exercise is not about looking a certain way. Sure that’s great of course! And if you are obese, it doesn’t t...ake away from that fact that you may be a beautiful person, but unfortunately it makes you suseptible to so many preventable diseases. Not to mention, how could your poor heart survive like this? Sadly it doesn’t. Obesity is on the rise and lifestyle caused diseases kill people too early. The saddest part is, it’s preventable.. Take one step today. Just do one thing. Listen to a podcast. Read a positive quote. Support a friend. Eat some vegetables. Stop when you’re full. Go for a walk. Do something to better your health TODAY.

11.01.2022 Step off the scale! Use pictures, measurements, how your clothes fit, and/or calipers to chart progress. Our weight changes from day to day, based on a number o...f different factors. Here are just a few that will make the scale inch upward temporarily: . . Hormonal fluctuations. This can account for a few pounds on any given day, depending on your cycle. Lack of sleep Hard training sessions and soreness will cause water retention Increased carbohydrate intake. For every gram of carbs ingested, the body will hold up to 3 grams of water! This is normal and temporary. Increased sodium intake Stress Overtraining Inflammatory foods (milk, wheat, processed foods, etc) Weight will be higher later in the day, after consuming meals . . And of course, you'll weigh more if you add lean muscle mass to your frame! Gaining muscle and losing fat will look like no progress on the scale, even though you've improved body composition...this is another reason to not stress about weight! Train hard, y'all!!! . . 07.01.2022 It's R U OK day today. Although it should be a regular question asked and answered honestly, it's not. For those of you who are not ok: Just remember that you are not alone in this world. There are people out there who care and will listen. Regular bad days happen, but if it is a regular thing or there are things that aren't so regular that you have gone through or are going through, there are resources out there that you can get access to and get the help you need and dese...rve. You do not deserve to feel any thing other than happiness! Please speak up if you need help or someone to talk to. Please also reach out for help in your darkest hours, even when it is the hardest time and you are at your lowest. You can get through and enjoy the life you have at your very best! No one deserves to feel low and in the dark. For those of you who don't know how to help: Don't be afraid to ask and make sure you are prepared to be a support and listen if you get an answer. You dont need to diagnose or tell them what to do. Support their confidentiality and courage if they reach out, and let them know what support is there if they need it. If you need someone to talk to after hearing an answer, dont sit back and leave it. There is support for you too. If someone is is crisis, you could just make the difference in their life that they need, by asking and listening and seeking help if required. So are you ok? Are Friend's and family ok? Is a passer by ok? Smile, acknowledge and make someone's day. Let's not keep the kindness to ourselves. Let's spread it like confetti and be there for each other! You have no idea what someone can be going through or has gone through, so remember not to judge. Ask confidently and empathetically, R U OK, not just today but every day and let's bring our suicide rate and mental health down through human kindness and support. There are plenty of us on this planet for it! https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//P/support-contact-list.aspx

04.01.2022 Hey lovely peeps! Myself and my siblings are embarking on a 48km hike through the Gold Coast Kokoda challenge in July this year. Among all the catastrophic events happening, and that have happened around Australia recently, we are trying to raise funds for Kokoda's youth program, and just thought I would see if anyone would be interested in helping us out- no matter how small, for a good cause, or know of anyone who may be interested? "The Kokoda Youth Foundation (KYF) supp...orts Australians by inspiring them to do extraordinary things. Through hiking endurance events, youth programs and an outdoor education camp we challenge deeply held beliefs, allow limits and abilites to be explored, and provide opportunities for growth" (Directly from the kokoda challenge page) Feel free to check out the page to find out more. I have posted the link to our donation page below :) Thank you so much for your time! https://www.kokodachallenge.com//kokodachallenge-goldcoast

04.01.2022 Strong and healthy is going to look different on everyone and that’s something that we as women, need to remember. Ladies, everyBODY is different and everyb...ody’s journey with health and fitness is going to be different. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I HONESTLY believe that to be true. Some people might look at me and wish they had my body, some people might look at me and see a small chest and a small bum and not want my body, but that’s not important. What’s important is that I WANT my body and I LOVE my body and at the end of the day that’s what matters most. Let’s EMBRACE and accept our bodies for everything they are and stop worrying about everything they’re not.
