The properties are SDA rated to high physical support. There are two homes with two bedrooms, one bathroom, fully air conditioned and with beautifully presented grounds in Wagaman. 19.01.2022 Nineteen of Katherine’s leading business, local government and community sector organisations have joined forces, calling for the development of short stay acco...mmodation in Katherine. With extremely high levels of homelessness in Katherine (31 times the national average), a chronic shortage of social and affordable housing, high rates of house crowding, and no appropriate visitor accommodation, the joint statement is calling for immediate action. Short stay visitor accommodation is vital in providing a safe, affordable and appropriate place to stay for those visiting town to access health services, or for cultural, sporting or family reasons. Katherine is the only major regional centre in the NT where such a facility does not already exist or previously been committed to. A positive, empathetic person with a can do attitude who is committed to making a difference in the delivery of our services. James join...ed Somerville in 2001 working in Disability Services. Moving from a Support Worker role to Team Leader and more recently taking on the responsibility of Acting Coordinator. James is committed to ensuring people with disability have access to the same opportunities and experiences as those without a disability.
