23.01.2022 Cheryl from Pelican Park lets us know what she has been up to during lockdown Hi everyone. During my downtime from work at Pelican Park, I think I have found my calling. I have, after all these years taken a liking to walking, and by that, I mean doing an average of 6-9km a day and am actually hooked on it. I never thought I would see the day when I enjoy walking... amazing how things change. I dont really have any hobbies, as I am more of a sports person (believe it or ...not) as I look forward to playing tennis comp twice a week, catching up with friends and seeing my children and grandchildren. You may think I am boring, but I love being around people and this makes me happy. I am really missing the people I am fortunate enough to work with, and especially our members. I am now the proud OWNER of a new grandson, (not so new know) who is now 4.5 months old, lives only 7 minutes away, and I can only see him mainly via video. I am yet to kiss or touch him, but I look forward to the day that I can do this yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. During this downtime, I have been going through all of my photos and making photo books online and loving it. Here is a sample of what I have been doing in my new grandsons baby book. I hope everyone is going okay, and adjusting to life as we know it for now. It is not easy, BUT we are doing the right thing. I am looking forward to seeing all of the renovations that have been completed during everyones absence, and that is something we can all look forward to and get some of our normality back again. Take care everyone and I look forward to seeing back at the Centre. Stay safe, Cheryl. #letsmovemornpen
