These are some of the key pointers in a healthy, fit, lifestyle that not only require us to put in lots of effort for us to achieve greatness and results But key pointers that it is so important we find a balance between all three Ill be the first to put my hand up and say balance is NOT something I am great at & that it is one of my speed humps in my health and fitness Health, fitness & good nutrition doesnt have to be boring! Remember that every time you eat that you are giving yourself the chance to NOURISH your body Life is about Balance! Be fit & healthy but also remember to enjoy it all in the process

21.01.2022 Ahhh the Glutes Your glutes are an INCREDIBLY important muscle, probably more so then you even think. They are the brickwork to your humble abode! They are also a very common muscle group (woman expecially!) that function very poorly on alot of people. ... Poor glute function can lead to tight hips, lower back pain and create many injuries. Those of you in sedentary jobs may find particularly that this is an area that is not your strongest due to sitting on it all day, forgetting about your posture and simply just not using them for such an extensive period of time. Start getting your glutes to activate! This is not simply done by doing 100 donkey kicks during your workout. You want to actually create that muscle mind connection between your brain to that area and get those buns to fire correctly and efficiently. I like to throw my glute activation in my warm up or sometimes in between sets of a lower body workout. Bottom lins! 12.01.2022 QUOTE OF THE DAY "Alot of disappointment comes from unrealistic expectation, or not meeting your unrealistic expectation" I see it alot of it, when clients set their goals "I want to have a six pack" ... "I want to have the discipline to never eat sugar again" This is not to say that goals set like this can not be achieved. OF COURSE THEY CAN! But what you have to ask yourself is.. How much effort, will power & sacrifice are YOU willing to put in to achieve these Ask yourself before you set your goals! Is this realistic for ME And what am I willing to do to achieve this It doesnt matter if you set smaller goals in order to achieve that one big goal! OR how many times you fail trying to achieve it Remember!.. Think SMART & plan. Not "I want it right this second" Be patient with yourself. Nothing worth having comes easy! And BELIEVE that you can (youll be half way there already!)

In basic terms, think of eccentric training like the lowering of a weight... Lets say a Bicep curl! Now lower that weight down towards the ground slowly... That would be the eccentric part of your bicep curl! You will actually be surprised at how hard these babies can be!
