08.01.2022 Don’t be complacent and think the fire season is over! It’s not! We are generally moving into our worst months of the year for grass and scrub fires down here on the Mornington Peninsula! Fire restrictions are still in force and anyone caught lighting a burn off will be dealt with by the police! Take the time now to recheck a few things that could potentially save your lives and or your property:... Is your property properly prepared to survive a fire? Do you have a fire plan? Is there a hydrant (the white post with the red top) near your property that is clean and accessible? Know what to do and where to check for key information!! cfa.vic.gov.au Vic Emergency website or app

07.01.2022 Something to think about After the bushfire has past and what a lot of people are feeling right now!

06.01.2022 Please check your chimney and cowls this winter! Lucky for the residents last night that they noticed a problem at the top of their chimney- that was on fire. The high winds that we have just had, had moved the cowl and caused a fire at the top. If this had gone unnoticed, a different and more devastating result would have occurred. Thanks for the support from Rye And Rosebud Fire Brigades.
