22.01.2022 Hey everyone. Tomorrow is the Semaphore Street Fair so we will be open from 11am serving SAs favourite fish and chips. Due to the road closure, we wont be taking any uber or phone orders for the day. Hope to see you all there!

20.01.2022 Seasons Greetings to all our wonderful customers. We have just started with new season potatoes and the chips are absolutely awesome. We will be open every day except Christmas Day so why not pop down for some tasty fish & chips and check out beautiful Semaphore beach this holiday season. Merry Christmas to you all.

20.01.2022 When we source potatoes for the shop we do so in the hope that they create delicious, crispy chips which will keep customers coming back again and again. We trial numerous different samples and always choose the one that delivers on flavour and texture, that we think the customers will love. Not all potatoes are created equal however and unfortunately the batch of potatoes we've had in over the last week or so we discovered were unsuitable to create crispy chips. So for all those who experienced soggy chips over the last week, we unreservedly apologise that the chips were not up to our standard. We have moved to a different potato which we are happy to say are creating the delicious, crispy, more-ish chips that Sotos is known for. We hope to see you all back in the shop again soon!

20.01.2022 We will be back open from 11:30am Sunday! We have a limit of 4 customers allowed in the shop at any time and once ordered you will need to wait outside. There are markings on the floor where people are allowed to stand. We ask that everyone is respectful of each other and the rules we all have to follow! Hope to see you there!

Going down to the Semaphore foreshore to enjoy some Fish and Chips along the beach has been a Summer bucket list item for generations of families for decades. Whilst the shop has changed hands many times over the years, one thing has remained a constant - an emphasis on the best quality food we can get our hands on and of course old fashioned quality service. This is why thousands of people continue to enjoy Sotos style Fish and Chips each an...d every week. Sotos is famous for making our Fish and Chips the old school way. We still peel and cut our chips in store each and every day using fresh, quality, local Potatoes, providing our customers with delicious, fresh, preservative & additive free hot Chips. We have many local Seafood options available, from Spencer Gulf Prawns, to Australian Squid hand cut and crumbed in store, to a number of different Varieties of fish including Flathead, Whiting, Garfish and Flake. Our Hamburgers and Steak Sandwiches are forever popular and we offer Yiros and Hot Dogs as well. Sotos is open 7 days a week from 1130am and we will be celebrating our 70th birthday from Friday October 11th to Sunday 13th with some in-store specials, give-aways for children and daily door prizes. Wed like to say a huge thankyou to our loyal customers who visit us! 09.01.2022 Sotos is still open for business from 11:30 everyday. The health inspector came in on Wednesday and was gery happy with all the measures we have taken to ensure the safety of the customers in the shop. Please follow the marked spaces on the ground and we ask that you wait outside after ordering. As per government regulations we cant allow seating in the shop. We are dealing with a much higher influx of phone orders than usual so please be patient and understand we are working hard to get every order out as efficiently as possible. 06.01.2022 At Sotos we are about doing as much in-house as possible, so we have moved away from pre-processed Calamari and are now making our own! 100% Australian squid, cut & crumbed by our great team in-house. It has a great fresh flavour and texture that you get from local squid and is still just 80c a ring!

02.01.2022 With summer in full swing, we at Sotos thought we would offer some holiday specials to help push the cause for local caught Australian seafood! We have an old classic in Tommies available for $7 for 2 butterflied fish. We have some crumbed Victorian Scallops for $1.50 - they are small but they taste fantastic! And finally we have some local Spencer Gulf Prawns for $2.20 each, which are available each day until sold out. Hope to see you all in the next few weeks to help champion local seafood!
