24.01.2022 This picture looks gorgeous, right? Even if I do say so myself But this post is not about the look. It’s about setting up your holiday property to be as functional as possible for you as a HPO (Holiday Property Owner). What you can’t see on the first pic is the @minuthq that @secureyourworld.au put me onto. Not the most exciting thing I know to look at, but it is a game changer for all the HPOs out there. It monitors noise, temperature and movement in a property. ...It doesn’t have a camera in it so if your a guest you know your privacy is protected. It allows an owner to detect if someone is in the property. So if your wanting to know your guests have checked in and arrived, you’ll know. And on the other hand it can detect and alert you of any unexpected movement whilst your property is vacant. It’s really convenient as say your guests have left the air-conditioning on after their departure, you can detect the temperature and attend to it. Your neighbours will respect you that not more, as it can also alert you if the noise is too loud. And one of the best things, for all those non-tech people out there like me. 22.01.2022 This artwork is the hero of the living area @thepauseaus . One of the styles I was working with was minimalist, so by using an oversized piece ticked this box. Full credit to the talented artist @ozlem_savelle_art I commissioned this piece with a brief that I wanted the art to make people feel like they could pause, take a deep breathe out and feel calm. ... 18.01.2022 White sofas and homes with children Ok I’m going to tell you that the two can co-exist if you choose the right one. I’m staying @thepauseaus at the moment with my four boys and lots of their friends coming around. So if this ‘Cloud’ sofa from @loungeloversfurniture can stand up to this test, I’m confident it can hold up to your homes or holiday properties. The fabric is called Essence Dove. It’s white but is had a grey fleck through it. And that is the key to it not... showing marks. 18.01.2022 So time to have a chat about the unsung heroes of holiday property businesses and this local tourism boom... the cleaners, the laundromat and so on. These are the people who turnover the properties so that both you and me as guests can arrive at check-in time to enjoy a holiday. But do we ever stop to think about how hard they work? And how everything this year has affected them. They went from zero work to the busiest they’ve ever been with domestic tourism booming. It’s ...a good thing you know with business booming for them, but I know our cleaners have not had a single day off since here in NSW we could travel again. So next time you check-in to a property, be it a holiday house or a hotel ... spare a moment to be grateful for the hard work these guys are doing. And if your a cleaner, thank you as honestly without you guys ... everyone would not be out & about enjoying our great country that we live in. And FYI I don’t clean or do the washing myself, but today I’m helping out with some laundry

12.01.2022 Now so many people have been asking about the curtains here @thepauseaus. It has been hard for me to keep my mouth closed as they are stunning and honestly complete the whole home.
