20.01.2022 Just back from having Petra's checkup he took her in for x rays & she has a crack so bed rest it is, he said it will be ok just watch her, the other night she was on the lounge naughty girl when no one was watching.

19.01.2022 UPDATE ON ELI, Eli was rushed to the vets this afternoon & it is with great sadness we had to give her her angel wings it was so hard to make this decision & h...er with multiple things the worst being infection in the gut which had moved to most of her joints it would have been a painful process & with being strapped & injections every day & only 1 in a million recover but pain all their life, we had to think of her quality of life & comfortable it was not what we wanted it was about Eli. PLEASE NO NASTY COMMENTS IT WAS NO ONES FAULT IT HAPPENS IF THEIR IMUNE SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. Eli is now running in the meadows pain free enjoying her self RIP sweet angel you were loved & cuddled when you left us & for ever in our hearts although you were only with us a short time you broke mine & Brads hearts today. Please welcome our new little baby Eli into care she was rejected by mum. See more

SCARI with all the operations, procedures, medications, physio & treatments for the past 9 weeks is $10,000+ Faith has a long haul & he...r vet bill alone is well over $1,000 if you could spare a dollar or two would be so much appreciated, I know this has been a hard this year & being this time of the year. any thing over $2 is tax deductible. 14.01.2022 TODAYS UPDATE ON FAITH Her neglect is far worst than expected with many vet visits, x rays, numinous medications for skin allergies & ear infections, skin scrap...ings, showers every second day & special food, This poor girl is breaking every ones hearts BUT we will get on top of this as her weight is now perfect after 5 + weeks being fed good quality food + her will to live & her beautiful sweet charming nature will get her through this. When she is ready for her new family she will make a wonderful addition with any family. Faith's disability is not a issue neither will her problems that she is faces now, with her happy bubbly personality will win every ones hearts who meet her. Faith is still a puppy & has learn a few commands & needs to continue. See more

12.01.2022 Our babies in care at SCARI, most have come from bad homes so some are not for adoption as they have health, mental or physical illness if the new parent or parents are willing to care, $$$$$ & vet treat them.

09.01.2022 Best news ever, another vet visit & Petra no longer needs to visit just keep up with the physio & with Shae he has a house call here in 2 weeks time for Genna our pig so he will check him out then.

04.01.2022 South Coast Animal rescue Inc’s history. We have been rescuing for well over 30 years & started SCARI 14 years ago many animals have come through our doors & sa...dly some could not be saved but knew love when they took their last breath which took a piece of our hearts with them for the ones who survived they live a full happy healthy life. For the new friends to our face book we are a very small family running a rescue who not only save domestic animals we also rescue livestock, help out with wild life, take in puppies supply food while they are with mums & desex mums when the time is right. For the past 10 months we have been super busy with the disasters this year we have been very involved with the bush fires, covid, floods & homeless setting communities along with wild life carers to be comfortable during their time of need. The livestock animals that come into care most we have to purchase, a lot of animals are abused, ill treated, injured, malnourished, needing operations or vet treatment, sick & not in very good condition, if it was not for our awesome followers who support us day in day out & believe in every thing we do along with our wonderful team of dedicated people working around the clock to save lives putting their heart & sole into every animal along with my very supportive family none of this could happen. It is becoming harder & harder with so many animals needing vet treatment & or operations, there has been a lot you all have not see as I do not post everything that happens it is full on work BUT we love what we do to see a unloved animal come in & to see them blossom from a bud to a beautiful healthy happy animal its worth every minute. 100% of everything that is donated is used for the animals THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. 04.01.2022 We received some sad news this morning the vet has been & Napoleon has cancer it has progressed & there is no treatment of operation can be preformed it has tra...veled to far he is not in any pain just a little uncomfortable so he can live a happy life till the time comes, we saved him from slaughter only 3 days old he has had a wonderful 7 years with us living on 100 acres next door plenty of food & water so he is back out free with the other babies after being locked up for 3 days. 02.01.2022 Monday, in all it’s chaotic beauty I love that everyone in our house gets along and lives side by side, not always perfectly, but with respect and understandi...ng for each other’s needs. The kids are learning through the animals we share our lives with. Lessons like boundaries, empathy, respect and responsibility are taught on a daily basis. Not necessarily by me, but by the animals themselves. By the seasons and the weather and everything in between. My dream is to give children of all ages access to all kinds of animals, so they too can feel intimate connections and be taught the gentle lessons that only nature and animals can provide. The next generation must understand where their food comes from and that we, as human beings have a moral and urgent need to quit our endless, destructive patterns of over consumption, extractive land management and dominance over nature and others. We must work harder to listen to our land and work collaboratively with communities and public spaces to transform how we live, eat, do business and interact with each other. We need to rethink the way we live. We cannot continue this way. Our children deserve to have safe, clean, healthy collaborative communities.
