21.01.2022 Sharks announce Senior Men’s Captains! Sharkman is thrilled to announce the Senior Men’s Captains for the upcoming season! 1st Grade: Sean Willis ... 2nd Grade: Perry Mannering 3rd Grade: Wills Thompson Willis, 25, enters his fourth full season as 1st Grade captain as already one of the most decorated Sharks players. Sean has led the Sharks to multiple 50 over & T20 Premierships as captain, having also won Premierships under former skipper Jeremy Smith. Mannering, also 25, returns to the playing ranks this season having stepped down from his role as Sharks President and overcoming injuries. It will be Perry’s second stint as 2nd Grade captain after leading the Sharks to the 2016/17 2nd Grade flag. Thompson, 29, is the Sharks all-grades game record holder and has 190 1st Grade games & multiple Premiership experience. ‘Gooch’ is returning to 3rd Grade to help mentor the next wave of Sharks while also injecting some fun into the side! #SharksToSharks

20.01.2022 Thanks to all our volunteers! We wish all Sharks members, particularly our hard working volunteers, a refreshing mid-season break over the Christmas and New Year period. Sporting clubs are built and run by volunteers and Sharkman will be highlighting one volunteer each month. For December it is none other than George Seward! ... George puts in a mountain of work each week to run the Shark Park canteen and bar. His weekly routine looks something like weekly stock takes, ordering, delivering unloading stock, collecting ingredients and hand making the salad rolls as well as physically manning the bar & canteen each and every Thursday night and weekend. As well as this, big G also 'net captains' at Senior training on both Tuesday's & Thursday's to ensure the nets are running smoothly to allow our coaching staff to coach. George also puts his hand up for many other behind the scenes roles such as driving busses up north or generally helping out. We raise a glass to you Chubbs, as well as all our other volunteers which makes our club so great. Have a very Merry Christmas and New Year and enjoy the couple of weeks away from cricket! #CommunityCricketLegend #SharksToSharks
