We learn about an award-winning photographer, deep-sea fishing and Indigenous history. We preview events such as the 2020 WA Wine Show and 2021 Taste Great Southern. In this picture, Principal Research Scientist Allan Burbidge (Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions) and BirdLife Australia’s Plaxy Barratt search a local wetland for the threatened Australasian bittern. Both organisations will present at the Great Southern Science Symposium at the AEC this month.

08.01.2022 After a couple of months between editions, we are delighted to let readers know that Southerly Magazine will be back on the shelves from this Thursday with a fantastic July Issue.
