07.01.2022 As we move through these tough times we wish to make everyone aware that we at the Southern Bay Cyclones continue to follow the guidelines set by Qld Health and the CHO including seeking advice from local council and officials. All senior players and volunteers that were in contact with the player are currently in the testing process and we still continue to encourage all that were at the match to be vigilant and monitor their health and follow the Covid guidelines for testi...ng. The club will undergo a deep clean on Sunday the 30th of August including all change rooms and common areas. We also wish to make it known that the infected player who took part in the match against the Logan Saints was unaware he had contracted the virus and did not play the match with any ill intent. The player had shown no symptoms and continues to be in good health and is currently in self isolation and did so as soon as he was tested, following all Covid guidelines. Southern Bay are committed in supporting the affected player and his family. We will continue to be as transparent as possible and relay any information necessary as soon as it comes to hand. We apologise to all families and persons that have been affected and again we offer any support we can to help move through these difficult times.

01.01.2022 **Announcement** Unfortunately we can confirm that there has been 2 confirmed cases of COVID at the Friday 21st August Senior game vs Logan City. At this time the club is working with Qld Health and the QSRU to provide all details and contact tracings. We recommend all that may have attended the club on Friday night, in particular from 7:45pm on wards to follow all Qld Health Guidelines. ... In Conjunction with the BJRU and the QSRU we have decided to take a cautious route and all games involving Southern Bay have been cancelled for this weekend we do apologise for any inconvenience however we must all do our best in the interest of everyone's health and well being. The Club has also been closed and will undertake deep cleaning before re commencing any further activity. We wish all involved the very best and in true Cyclone spirit will be there to offer support to all affected.
