14.01.2022 Ok Members This is your final weekly wrap up for 2020 and can we just say what an extraordinary year it has been! We had a National Championships to look forward to, then we had a pandemic to deal with. We had a lockdown, and we didn’t see each other for over 4 months. We were allowed back on the track in July, but we had to remember to social distance and sanitize. ... We were told that Tasmania would not be hosting a National Championships and the mood went flat. The State Series was able to continue, though somewhat shorter. We moved on to our State Titles, the last ever under the BMX Tasmania banner. We then became Auscycling! And now we have reached the end of racing for 2020 with the last race day this Sunday before the Christmas Break up. We can only hope that next year we move onwards and upwards to gain back some of the momentum that we had built up in 2019. It can only get better from here, right?... Here’s hoping! Don’t forget racing starts an hour earlier than normal on Sunday, rego will be @ 9.45 and racing @ 11.00 am Open gates from 4.45 pm Wednesday night. Please present your licence!! Coaching has finished for 2020

13.01.2022 Happy birthday to all our October babies. We hope you have amazing days

13.01.2022 Continuing on from last post, all the new Auscycling policies are now available for you to read. We urge you to take the time to go through these policies so that you are aware of what your obligations, protections and rights (and ours as a club) are as members of Auscycling Australia. Just follow the link to the landing page and scroll though. Happy reading (there may or may not be a quizz) :) ... https://www.auscycling.org.au//a/governance-rules-policies

03.01.2022 Hi There, Welcome to the 2021 Race Year!! Over the next few weeks we are going to be updating you on the Auscycling Governance. These policies include things such as Code of Conduct, Member Protection, Anti-Doping, race rules etc. and apply to ALL members of Auscycling and Southern City BMX Club.... This week we will start out with the Code of Conduct. It is expected that all members familiarize themselves with this policy and conduct themselves accordingly while attending a race meet. Parents, we ask that you go through this document with your younger riders in a way that will help them to understand it. If there is something that you do not understand, please feel free to get in touch with the club and we will do our best to explain it.

02.01.2022 Members please note that coaching has finished for 2020. As the racing year ends, the club would like to give a massive shout out to our coaches. Thank you for all your time and dedication in guiding our younger members towards their goals.... For always being there to listen and answer their questions. For showing your support to the future of our club. So on behalf of all members of the club, Coaches... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

02.01.2022 I would like to congratulate every rider from the club that raced the series. Being in the prime location as race director for the series I had a fantastic view and each one from mini wheelers to the old farts did the club proud no matter where they came. They gave their all and nothing was left in the tank. Some results didn’t go their way but the effort and the poise that was carried goes along way and to say the club is heading in the right direction is pleasing to say the... least. Thank you to each and every parent for giving their time in training and traveling to the other two clubs so that the kids have the best chance for reconnecting old and new friends and to race amongst the best that the state have. Winning is good but friendships last long after racing has finished. Have a good nights rest and let’s smash out the last two race meets for the year. Thank you Mick See more
