21.01.2022 Our Bogan Bonanza Night was a blast! Thank you to everyone who stayed back after sport, we hope you had a great night. We loved everyone’s effort in putting together their outfits (or was it just our usual everyday wear ) Thank you to those who bought tickets and supported our club. ... Thanks to Elisa, our Bar Manager. Kyren, the official Sharks salesman as well as our other ticket sellers. 08.01.2022 Our final round for the 2020 season was a great day out in the sun Senior Netball Souths won against Tigers, 39 to 22. MVP - Maddison Andrews... Coaches Award - Karen Fraser Senior Hockey - Souths won against Tigers, 2 - nil. MVP - Pat Rennie Coaches Award - Holly Wade Congratulations to Teagan Jones who played her 100th Hockey game! Senior Footy GRAND FINAL - A huge congratulations to the Ravy boys for taking home the shield this year Final score: Souths: 3-12-30 Ravy: 9-7-61 Junior Footy Coaches Award - Jy Bennell Junior A Netball Coaches Award - Cara Jones Junior B Netball Coaches Award - Kaleb Evans Junior Hockey Coaches Award - Patricia Cerro This weeks Volunteer Award went to Maiken, who has helped out by doing huge canteen shifts, two weeks in a row. Absolute legend A big thank you as always to our amazing gate, bar and canteen helpers Thank you of course to our Coaches and Parent Helpers, Umpires, Strappers, as well as our other volunteers that helped make our final home game a successful one

07.01.2022 We are saddened to hear of the passing of one of our Southerners legends, Ian Campbell. Ian had a huge impact on our club, as President from 1969 to 1978, and was awarded a life membership in 1976 for his dedication. We send our sincere condolences to Ian’s family and friends. A funeral will be held on the 27th November at 10.30am, at the Hopetoun Community Centre.

05.01.2022 It was a great turn out on the weekend for the first home game for Souths (3rd round of sport for the 2020 season) Senior Netball Souths won against Tigers, 42 - 23. MVP - Amber Riseborough... Coaches Award - Jadey Higgins Senior Hockey - Souths won against Tigers, 1 - nil. MVP - Shannon Foulds Coaches Award - Aaron Woodward Senior Footy - Ravy won to Souths MVP - Nathan Biddulph Coaches Award - Reece Laycock Special mention to our Junior Footy boys- Brynn for stepping in as boundary umpire and Eli for running water Junior Footy Coaches Award - Jack Hughes Junior A Netball Coaches Award - Dominic Mantilla Junior B Netball Coaches Award - Sadie Morrison Junior Hockey Coaches Award - Nina Martin This weeks Volunteer Award without a doubt goes to our treasurer, Jamie Field. He is always the first to put his hand up to help, and gets involved wherever he can. He’s very reliable and we’re stoked to have him on our team Thank you of course to our Coaches and Parent Helpers, Umpires, Strappers, those that bought dishes for dinner, as well as our other volunteers that helped make our home game a successful one.
