This brings to those attending this week long State v State event, access to discounts on a range of tours. This is from the Kimberley in the far north, to the Margaret River wine region, to around the Perth Metropolitan area and beyond. 24.01.2022 Well done to the Perth 2021 logo artist Kevin Bynder for his painting for the West Australian Football Commission. The painting is about the West Australian Football League and has the 10 WAFL teams in the middle section connected up to the WAFC with the Wagyls skin seen on the outsides of the clubs. The top is the story of Graham "Polly" Farmer and all his accolades and the bottom shows Stephen Michael's accolades and football history and where he started and came from. ... The Wagyl is, according to Noongar culture, a snakelike dreamtime creature responsible for the creation of the Swan and Canning rivers and other waterways and land forms around present day Perth and the south-west of Western Australia, with his resting place the Darling Range.

21.01.2022 The list of options for daytrips for those Slugs attending the 2021 AFL Masters National Carnival in Perth (Sept/Oct). Two hours and a half hours north up the Indian Ocean Road from Perth is the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, which is an area with thousands of limestone formations called pinnacles. These magnificent pinnacles were formed from seashells which were broken down into lime-rich sands that were blown inland to form high mobile dunes.... You can also head for the rock lobster capital of Cervantes giving you time to dine like a king feasting on West Australia's most valuable delicacy.
21.01.2022 The people on Bali are doing it really tough at present. If you're looking to help please support this group.
20.01.2022 Today we continue to look at what options our Over 30's Women & Over 35's Men have to experience on the 4 days there are no matches on during the 1 week Carnival in Perth in October 2021. An hour drive south from Perth is the Mandurah and Peel Region. Stretching from the white sands and blue waters of the coast to the rugged terrain of the Darling Scarp, Mandurah and Peel offers a wide range of activities from exploring vast waterways and national parks, to visiting wineries ...and bush walking along trails through the Jarrah Forests. Mandurah and Peel encompasses the coastal city of Mandurah the inland regions of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Murray River (including Pinjarra and Dwellingup), Marradong Country (including Boddington) and Waroona - each with unique characteristics and attractions. There is plenty of things to do in the Mandurah-Peel Region including: Visit Dolphin Quay at the Mandurah Ocean Marina and The Mandurah Boardwalk where you can dine at one of the cafes, restaurants or pubs and shop for arts and crafts. Take a cruise around the Mandurah canals and estuary - keep an eye out for dolphins. Play a round of golf with ocean views at The Cut Golf Course. Visit wineries including the excellent Millbrook Winery in the old milling town of Jarrahdale. Head to the Serpentine Falls for a relaxing picnic as the water cascades off the hills. Visit Yalgorup National Park to see the amazing Thrombolite living fossils.

17.01.2022 The interest in the mens & womens teams for Perth 2021 AFL Masters National Carnival,, from the Slugs lads & Dingoes girls, continues to grow. Back into the city of Perth today, we look at Yagan Square and the nightlife area of Northbridge. Yagan Square opened in March 2018 and provides a link between the city and Northbridge whilst also being the hub for public transport. Yagan Square has a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and specialty shops. Our wonderful logo artist Ke...vin Bynder will open his store in January 2020. The area of Northbridge is where you will find restaurant food from around the globe and is Perth's after dark nightlife location. The Northbridge Brewing Company is a great starting location for the night out in the centre of Northbridge.
17.01.2022 It's awesome to see the level of interest from the Deadly Roos & Southern Slugs Family in heading to Perth in September next year. Tag & share this post & others about the Perth Over 35s State v State week long event. Who do you know that should be jumping onboard with this incredible opportunity. The AFL Masters National Carnival Perth 2021 logo design was created by WA indigenous artist Kevin Bynder. ... Kevin is a current WA Masters player with the Nollamara Roos and has previously created indigenous designs for the West Coast Eagles, Perth Scorchers, Port Adelaide Football Club and Qantas. The story of the logo design is the 7 circles around the sunset represents the players and clubs in the WA Regional areas being the Kimberley, Pilbara, South West, Goldfields-Esperance, Gascoyne, Mid West and Great Southern. The Maali (Whadjuk word for Swan) and the sunset behind it represents the players and clubs in the Metropolitan area. This is the first ever indigenous logo for an AFL Masters National Carnival.
16.01.2022 Whose missing footy? This piece of Titus O'Reily gold is being shared as it may help us in some small way to get through this. Melbourne Demons supporters look away now!

16.01.2022 This is what the 13th Feb Comedy Gala is all about. The Western Districts Football Club was completely destroyed by fire 12 months ago. The 3rd January was the 1 year anniversary ... the 13th Feb event is about the healing process for the people of the Western End of KI, & raising some money to help them bounce back.
15.01.2022 This one is the ultimate just do it quote. Thinking about travelling is a bit like standing high on a diving board, and deciding whether or not to take the plunge. You can stand there, trying to convince yourself to jump, for as long as you want - but at some point, you just have to go for it.
15.01.2022 If you know any Aboriginal Footballers that would love to represent SA, wearing the SA State Jumper, then the Perth 2021 AFL Masters National Carnival in Sept/Oct, is going to be an awesome one to go on. The Aboriginal talent on show in Perth, in the week following the 2021 AFL Grand Final, will be incredible! The logo design for the event was created with this in mind!... Spots are available in the SA 35 to 44's 45 to 49's 50 to 54's Over 55's Attractive travel packages are available! Know any lndigenous Footballers that would be great to have as part of these team?
14.01.2022 Coming back home after travelling is tough to describe. Everything that's familiar to you will seemdifferent, somehow. You'll appreciate the people, places, and things in your life in a way you never expected.
14.01.2022 Just when you think you have your itinerary worked out for next years AFL Masters National Carnival, Perth, here is another option for the Slugs & Slugettes heading over. This afternoon we go further north to one of the most spectacular areas of WA's wonderful coastline. Situated at the northern gateway to the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area, Exmouth is the perfect base to explore the grandiose landscapes of the Cape Range National Park and the underwater wonders of the N...ingaloo Marine Park. Visitors come from around the world to swim with the awe-inspiring gentle giants of the sea - the whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales. If Coral Bay's strengths are the water then Exmouth is really about the Range and the Reef - a National Park that abuts a Marine Park, wrapped up in a UNESCO World Heritage listing based on both marine and terrestrial (land) based qualities that need to be preserved. Ningaloo Reef, the largest fringing reef in Australia, sits just a short drive from Exmouth town, making it the must-see destination for keen divers and snorkellers. Home of one of the world's top ten shore dives the Exmouth Navy Pier is referred to as the aquarium without glass. Here divers will see more species fish in one site than possibly in their entire diving life. Covering more than 50,000 hectares, the ruggedly beautiful Cape Range National Park features breathtaking canyons, limestone ranges and 50 kilometres of unspoiled coastline as well as stunning Yardie Creek. Wildlife such as emus, wallaroos, red kangaroos, dingoes, echidnas and a variety of birds and reptiles are sighted daily. The park comes alive with wildflowers in winter and boasts 630 species of plants and wildflowers (including 12 endemic and six near endemic species) with the Sturt desert pea and green bird flower as highlights. Exmouth is a 90 minute flight with Qantas or a 13 hour drive from Perth.
13.01.2022 Show me someone that says "overseas travel isn't a life changing experience" & I will show you someone that has only ever been overseas to visit Granite Island!
13.01.2022 Surin Beach is the planned location for where our Masters Footballers & their partners will stay when we next head over to play in the Phuket AFL Masters tournament . AQWA is a unique aquarium filled with movement and vibrant colour and is situated at Hillarys Boat Harbour, 23 kilometres north of the city of Perth. AQWA boasts one of the worlds largest living coral reef exhibits, where visitors will be amazed by the vibrant life of a coral reef, bursting with colourful creatures and intriguing coral formations. From sharks, to stingrays to giant sea turtles the whole family will be enthralled as they come face-to-fin with all manner of majestic sea creatures. 11.01.2022 We as a club would like to address the rumours around lsrael Folau joining the Southern Slugs. With his former coach (GWS Giants), Kevin Sheedy, committing to coach our All lndigenous side, the "Deadly Roos", for a tour in 2020, we understand the connection. Just to clarify, lsrael does not qualify to join our Deadly Roos, nor can he play for the Slugs... he's not 35 yet.... There will however be some significant announcements at our Season Launch/ KI Recovery Comedy Show.... Make sure you are there... You're not going to want to miss this!!! Saturday, 13th Feb Adelaide lrish Club 8:00pm Tickets are $30.
10.01.2022 Thank you for your support of our KI Fundraiser Comedy Show.
09.01.2022 It's great to see the support for our 2021 Season Launch/ KI Fundraiser event. Its particularly pleasing to see so many who are heading to Perth in 9 mths time for the Masters Carnival in Perth, committing to come. Here is an adventure you may wish to consider on your trip over for the Perth 2021 carnival. ... Walking the length of the Busselton Jetty is certainly an adventure in itself however walking on the seafloor UNDERNEATH the jetty is an absolute must do experience! Busselton Jetty Undersea Walk is the first of its kind in Australia and one of the first seabed walks in the world to operate without a compressor or air hoses. Instead you wear a dive helmet and self-contained backpack. You are free at the bottom of the sea, truly able to experience the underwater world for yourself. It's an amazing, eerie, wonder-filled place that just about anyone aged 12+ can go and experience for themselves!
09.01.2022 Today we continue our series on our Slugs (Over 35's), Grey Kangaroos (Aboriginal Old Fellas), & Dingoes (Womens Team) trip to Perth in Sept/Oct 2021 to get around the action of the 2021 AFL Masters National Carnival. Situated 11 kilometres from the city is the famous Cottesloe Beach. You can drive there in about 25 minutes or catch the train or bus from the city of Perth. With more than a kilometre of pure white sand, Cottesloe Beach is one of Perth's most popular spots for... swimming, snorkelling and surfing. Generations of West Australians have spent summer days diving into the ocean from the distinctive floating bell just offshore. Watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean while enjoying a glass of wine, a refreshing beer or a relaxed dinner. For me the Cottesloe Beach Hotel or "The Cott" is a favourite and not to be missed if you take the trip to the coastal suburb of Perth.

05.01.2022 ATTENTION OVER 50's FOOTBALLERS.... AFL Masters Over 50's Competition on its way? SA AFL Masters Executive Committee are currently exploring the viability of introducing an 'Over 50s' competition into the SA Masters fixtures from next season. To introduce the concept and test the water for interest they will be holding Over 50s trial matches on Sunday 13th September (venue & timings to be confirmed).... They are calling upon any current or past players who are already 50 years of age, or older; or will turn 50 within the next 1-2 years to register their interest to take part in the trial. Conscious that this trial day will take place in-between two rounds of the 2020 regular masters season, which means for some players potentially playing 3 weeks in a row, the plan is to reduce the length of quarters for the trial matches and ensure plenty of rotations to ease the burden on our old bodies. There will be a free BBQ for all players and the bar open for all to enjoy a beer together after the games. Please pass on the message to any of your mates who are not currently playing in the AFL Masters SA competition & Fifty plus years of age in 2021. TAG AWAY & SHARE!!!
