23.01.2022 Acacia pravissima prostrate Pic: Run-O-Waters I do like ground covers, cuts down on the mulch and blocks weeds. This is presently preparing itself for yet another yearly show of neon yellow. Note the 'pins' are at their misty mauve stage, another good time of the year.... These can reach a spread of 2 metres. 17.01.2022 Banksia paludosa is normally a multi-stemmed shrub generally under 1.5 m however, single stemmed ones can be 3 metres high. The two pictured are on the left and right. Growing: Run-O-Waters Dist: LOCAL, Central and South Coasts and Central Tablelands. Grevillea ‘Fanfare’ (cultivar)... Prostrate ground cover 2-4 metres across. This cultivar is extremely frost tolerant and was given no protection during the severe frosts Goulburn experienced. This is bottom of this photo. 16.01.2022 Acacia cognata (River Wattle, Bower Wattle) 3 to 10 metres. This particular one was blown over and allowed to have its 2 metre horizontal trunk across the ground. Now beginning to throw upright trunks. A beautiful cascading wattle that has been used to create cultivars such as 'Limelight', 'Fettucine', 'Mini Cog', 'Green Mist', 'Mop Top', 'Lime Magik' and many others.... Pic location: Run-O-Waters Dist: LOCAL, Central and South Coast. Other states: Vic.

16.01.2022 Grevillea 'Copper Crest' is said to be a hybrid of Grevilleas aquifolium and acanthifolia. This one is 500cm high and said to spread of 3-4 metres. It did have a ‘sport’ that reached up to a metre but a simple snip lowered that. Spiky growth with new copper tips and has pink toothbrush flowers. Would be a good low fence to stop pets traversing across. Again, extremely frost tolerant. Growing: Run-O-Waters

15.01.2022 Eremophila bignonifolia x polyclada (Emu Bush - hybrid) Approx size 2 metres high and 3 wide Pic: Mummel This is a follow up from a previous post. This is showing the mature shrub and its full size and the proliferation of blooms growing at Mummel.
