10.01.2022 Did you know that last year coping with stress, mental health and school or study problems were the main concerns for Gippsland’s young people aged 15 19 years? The data was collated from Mission Australia’s Youth Survey and the country’s largest online youth survey is open again in 2020. Local results will help us understand what is needed for local young people so we can invest in things that will make a difference, so please share the survey link with your networks. The Mission Australia Youth Survey is open until 14 August 2020. Please share this link with your networks https://www.missionaustralia.com.au//research/youth-survey.

08.01.2022 Did you know it is Wear it Purple Day on Friday 28 August? Wear it Purple was founded in 2010 in response to global stories of real teenagers expressing real heartache. Wear it Purple was established to show young people across the globe that there was hope, that there were people who did support and accept them, and that they have the right to be proud of who they are. So join us this year, on August 28th to celebrate Wear it Purple Day. Be part of a movement that has the potential to save thousands of lives. Be part of this change.

01.01.2022 Please be advised that beaches in South Gippsland are closed for all activity over the Easter period, effective immediately. Local police have been informed and... support this position. They will be carrying out checks of beaches to ensure compliance. This action is in line with Federal and State Government directives to keep people safe. People are encouraged not to travel to South Gippsland this Easter. We hope to welcome visitors back at later date but for now we ask people to follow Government advice and please stay at home. It is also worth noting that Wilsons Prom will be closed from midnight tonight. The South Gippsland beach closures will be reviewed next week.
