25.01.2022 Annual Cup Weekend at The Barn. Those of us that were able to go had a fantastic time with some of us staying the whole week, others staying between 3 &!4 days. Anne Rees & Ron took us on some great rides as usual. Some of us did some short rides. We had a beautiful ride from just outside of Briagolong to the Briagolong pub. The pub even installed some tie ups for us.

25.01.2022 Today is Anzac Day and whilst we all have our past and present service personal in our thoughts. I want to share this story of our beautiful member Debra N Stewart aka Deb Robilard. I am proud to call you my friend and am so very proud of all you did as an intensive care nurse.

24.01.2022 Thanks so much Tania Rand for your lovely donation of your Ord River fender. Heather was very happy. Kathy Sword and l did a quick drive to Ensay to deliver the saddle to Kathy who is still doing amazing work for our fire effected communities.

22.01.2022 Today saw Bruce Dunn from the Lang Lang Hall Committee and myself drive a load of fencing materials up to Cazs place in Myrtlebank where we unloaded straight onto her trailer. Caz headed straight to Bairnsdale to get the permit for travel up to the Gelantipy community. Special thanks must go to the Lang Lang Hall Committee & The Lang Lang Op Shop for donating the $5000 of temporary-fencing supplies and clothes. To Michelle & Grant Johnson from Lang Lang who personally purchased a whole bundle of treated pine posts. And finally but not least to our wonderful team at Larmax for going above and beyond to put this all together for us. I have just had a wonderful call from Caz with a huge thank you from the Gelantipy community.

18.01.2022 Another couple of big days of deliveries. Sue picked up a load of hay for a fire effected person and his animals in Sarsfield. A truck full of square and roun...d bales, pellet of dry pet food and supplies of some poly and temp fencing dropped at Gelantipy for the areas of Gelantipy, Buchan, Butchers Ridge and Black Mountain to share. Thanks Jenny Bland and her helpers and Adam, a very generous fella who donated his time and truck to run the hay. And regretfully just found out he is on the side of the road awaiting assistance with a breakdown! Bruce Carter loaded up early to run out to Ensay and Swifts Creek with a pellet of dog food, 30 bags of chaff (which was purchased by donated funds), linen, halters, leads, first aid, linen and basic gear. Packed to the hilt he dropped this gear for these areas, Cobungra and Anglers Rest. And then an evening run of hay out to a wildlife rescue centre with some hay for the rescues. All creatures great and small are benefit from your kindness! Thank you to all who donated, delivered, organised and packed. Legends! And dont forget if we can help those fire effected-PLEASE let us know! Cheers Caz See more

05.01.2022 One of the many long term casualties of such a devastating event is the effects on small businesss and tourism which will have grave implications on individual...s, communities and local economy. Some will sadly not survive. There are some great ideas in this article. Im setting a challenge for all my innovative, progressive and intelligent friends that are business owners in cities outside the fire effected zones to think about ways they could Buddy a fire effected business Come on guys ... put your thinking caps on ! If you need direct contacts with businesss that would be suitable for you to align with them just PM me - Ready - set - go ! Hang in There Gippsland

01.01.2022 Good afternoon members and friends. Our committee has been trying to workout when we can get back to our trails. We were looking at getting back to rides this month, however due to Covid restrictions we have decided to hold off on getting back out there. We hope our members understand, we are quite a big club and our last 2 club rides we had numbers in excess of 15. With 30 plus members we are not comfortable restricting our paid members from riding. ... While it is horrible weather this weekend we encourage you all to try to get out and about, when you can. A few of us have been riding when we can or getting a few of our friends together to hire an indoor, a couple of hours at an indoor is more than enough time to exercise our horses and ourselves. Keep in touch with those who are in your area who you could join up with for a ride. Stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you all soon. Jenny Downs President
