15.01.2022 One of the bigger crowds on Maroubra beach in recent times. Good social distancing, however, could have been better with a second set of flags rather than a joint one! Thanks for the photo Glenn Duffus Photography

06.01.2022 Here at South Maroubra, we’re really proud to be located in a beautiful City of Randwick Reserve and really happy to be reporting on continued improvements here at Arthur Byrne Reserve. We can report that landscaping around our club has stepped up with the storm water catchment works nearing completion and re-turfing above the massive water tanks north of the club now laid. We’re seeing some additional new turf laid directly over other areas previously dug up for pipping of w...ater, making the park more attractive. New parallel parking will soon commence along Bernie Kelly Dr creating 25 new car spots and soon after the Nipper overflow area will be fully resurfaced eliminating cars getting bogged. More info to come on this project as some interruptions will be encountered to club operations. A big well done to Randwick Council on delivering a great positive environmental project to date. We look forward to seeing irrigation and new grass laid beachside of the club.

06.01.2022 Just another reminder after one of our ‘red belly black snake’ neighbours was spotted very recently roaming around the coastal walkway just to the north of the club! Advise is to stay out of bushes and vegetation in dune areas and watch your step on pathways!

05.01.2022 Best wishes to John Marks one of our fantastic Life Members who’s been doing it really tough over the last 18 months or so, presently in St Vincent’s Palliative Care. Our thoughts are with Rhonda and the entire family as we head into 2021 and the challenges that lie ahead.

05.01.2022 You may wonder what the actions of our ‘Rookie’ boat crew in this photo means! They were actually paying the clubs respect for the late Peter Farr Jones in his new boat aptly named ‘The Woon’ during its christening. Cheers to you Pete!

03.01.2022 Who needs the north or south coast when you’ve got South Maroubra! Beautiful cool breeze & some great eastern suburbs customers!

01.01.2022 South Maroubra Flags Are Up Weekdays & waiting for you! Flags are up 11am to 5pm daily and if hot, until 6pm so be sure to come down and enjoy the best beach in Sydney!
