18.01.2022 Thank you, What a year, our first year back, which we thought would never come about and we took more knocks then a cricket bat. But we battled through thanks to our players and members who all had the one goal in mind to see the oldest club back out where they belong. Starting the year with no ground, no players and not a cent in the bank, it was a punch in the guts at the start of the year, first losing one of our life members who would of been so proud of all of you especi...ally how you honoured him later in the year, then the whole world got put on pause and we did not know if there was going to be anyway back. But like the line in our club song states "Lay down and take a beating, we will never", you all soldiered on. Couple of interesting stats from this year. *We were the only club to have players participate in every single grade. *out of the 3 full premiership sides, we had 2 of them win the premiership. *we set a goal for 50 registered players our first year back, we smashed it with 77 Registered and 7 permitted giving us a total of 84 players. Off the field we were also very successful with a very professional committee taking our clubs governance to the pinnacle of all. Securing a home venue for the future with soon the only Rugby League purpose built field in Metropolitan South Australia. Setting up the clubs financial future and a 20 year plan to see the South Adelaide Rugby League Club around for another 45 years. A lot of this work come down to the efforts all of you have put in over the last 12 months, positive, productive and fulfilling, from our Minis to our seniors and all our members I wish to say thank you. We saw an excellent display from South Adelaide and the Eastern Eel...s in the Womens Grand Final on Sunday. For any mums, daughters, sisters, aunties, nieces, girlfriends, wives, friends...... spread the word. 15.01.2022 Big Happy Birthday to Life Member Ian Goldsmith, Ian played for the club for many years and is a duel Premiership Player, he also coached Junior Grades for many years and Multiple Reserve Grade and First Grade Grand Final Coach, he developed a lot of young players into First Graders and also a former State Coach, we wish you a Big Happy Birthday Goldy.

10.01.2022 Hi Guys I wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate all teams that played on Sunday at Eyre Sports park, There were some great games of footy on display with two very tough senior games. The behaviour from the bench area was a lot better on Sunday then it has been in previous weeks, I want to thank you all for working with us to help improve the behavioural standards in these areas. We will need to be vigilant over the next couple of weeks as sudden death footy can bring... out a lot of emotion in people, as the Leaders of our Clubs I trust that NRLSA will have your support in making sure that finals series runs as smooth at it can. There will be 3 covid Marshalls operating on a rotational basis throughout the day with Andrew Unger helping out as Ground Manager. I would also like to congratulate the MEC Black Swans on their participation in the competition in 2020, the club has done an outstanding job and added plenty to our competition. 2020 seen South Adelaide re-join the competition, the club rebuilt with strong governance and strong numbers for the first year back and like the Swans added and strengthened our league. Good luck to all teams playing on Sunday lets all do our best to make it another great day of Rugby League. Thanks Kelso

10.01.2022 With most NRL franchises releasing their junior reps trials and schedules for 2021 we can now reveal what the structure will look like post the Covid Outbreak. ...In 2020 Harold Matthews was U16s whilst SG Ball and Tarsha Gale were U18s. In 2021 these 3 competitions will jump to the U17s and U19s respectively. It is unclear whether in 2022 the competitions will revert back to the age groups that they were pre Covid. It also remains unclear on what the structure for the country championships that is held alongside the Matts and Ball comps, however they are most likely to go ahead in 2021 and what involvement that the 6 NRL clubs have had in the past remains to be clarified. #TFWthevoiceofJRL
