19.01.2022 Off Season ? What off Season? Highlights of another busy week here at Walker Road with plenty of action still happening on and off the pitch. Far North Queensland Football Centre of Excellence - Tuesday. Galaxy Cup - Wednesday. Mini Comets - Thursday. Saturday sees the start of the Q - League North Multi Cultural Comp!

18.01.2022 Our Inaugural Galaxy Cup finished off another fun year at Southside Comets for our Junior Players and, according to the wonderful comments we received, was a huge success. Quote of the week was "Suppose that's it 'til next year ? " but with only a couple of weeks to go until 2021 we think we've done pretty well and accomplished a very full season... Congratulations to everyone who played and all our volunteers who made the Galaxy Cup a huge success in its first year.

We were joined by our VIP’s with our Local MP Hnr Curtis Pitt (who’s also a sponsor of our Women’s Teams). Congratulations also to young 2020 Premier U18 Golden Glove Youth Keeper of the year Taylor Noack. Also to 3rd Division Golden Boot Ben Collins scoring 21 goals in a successful comeback year. Here’s Pippa one of our Premier Women who’s volunteered all year coaching a junior team and helping the football department with our women’s program even with all the obstacles of 2020 including finishing her final year at high school, even though it’s the off season development of our girls continues now through until the start of the new season - Pippa and other huge contributors inspire us to push through and make the Comets better and better every year. What a terrific role model for our junior young ladies coming through
