25.01.2022 REMINDER P&C This Friday. Everyone's Opinion Matters. The P&C is the place to be heard. Together we can get things done :)

25.01.2022 Southwell P&C has begun fundraising for the year starting with a hot cross bun drive. A 6 pack of hot cross buns for $5. All orders and money must be in to Miss Fragall before or on April 3rd for orders to be places. Orders will be delivered on April 9th. There is a prize for the student that gets the most orders in. Please support the school by selling as many packets as you can.

24.01.2022 Please 'Like' and 'Share' to Help Promote Our Fundraising Day.

24.01.2022 Thank you to all Parents and families that came to our Harmony day breakfast yesterday and our ride/walk/scoot to school day. Special thanks to the parents that helped cook and serve the breakfast, without you the morning wouldn't have run as smoothly. We are still needing more support for the P&C events and are looking for more parents to join and one take over the secretary role, that Miss Fragall has currently taken up. Please think about this as the school needs you!

22.01.2022 Term Three for Southwell students begins this Tuesday, July 22nd. Please spread the word and note that each school is different and may have different commencement dates. We advise every person to check with their individual schools. Swimming lessons begin Wednesday 23rd July. Please share this with all your Southwell friends.

21.01.2022 Thank you to all the parents and staff that cooked and donated cookies and cupcakes to our P&C cake stall today, we could not have done it without your contributions. Special thanks to our ex teacher, Jessica Castledine who made over 120 cookies for us to sell. Your continued support for the school is overwhelming. Extra extra extra thanks to parent and P&C President, Dee-Anne Page, Teacher, Karinda Fragall and student Ethan Page, for selling the cakes and cookies at the election from 10am until 6pm. A long but successful day. Thanks again and thanks to everyone who purchased something to support our school. :)

20.01.2022 Sunday 17th November - Southwell Primary School Car Boot Sale day is fast approaching. $10 a car bay. Bays are already selling and for 10 dollars who can say no! Come and buy a bay and sell your unwanted items, craft items or anything really. All funds support the primary school and its P&C. Please spread the word to everyone you know! Have a spring clean and come on down!!!

19.01.2022 WELCOME BACK FOR 2014 It was great to see all the students back today ready for another fun filled busy year. Fantastic to see new faces also. The canteen is open tomorrow, Tuesday 4th February for it's first day of the year. It will be open Tuesdays and Fridays but we always need parent support. Please drop on by and talk to the office or the canteen and let us know if you can help.

15.01.2022 Athletics carnival will go ahead tomorrow as planned however with forecasts being for intermittent showers getting heavier in the afternoon, we will begin the carnival at 9:00am. There may be some changes to the timetable and breaks to complete as many events as possible in between any showers! It is recommended that students bring water bottles and might want to bring a spare shirt or a towel on the day! There are raffle tickets for sale from senior students and the P&C are holding a sausage sizzle and cake stall! Everyone do your reverse rain dance and we will see you at school!

14.01.2022 Hi Southwell, I have been contacted by one of your parents regarding letting your students know about our current available placements for kids in soccer. Currently my youngest child goes to Coolbellup Community School (I am the Secretary and Canteen Treasurer of school) but have recently taken up the position as Treasurer of the Phoenix Knights Football Club who trains at Len Packham Reserve next to Coolbellup Community School. We are currently trying to fill places, especia...lly for the younger kids but also still have places in the older years for players. It's not too far from your school and am advised the Principal, Joanne Stewart, is keen on getting your kids into some sort of activity. Could you please post on page if happy with that. As per attachment if the parents are on Pension or Health card Coolbellup Council will pay $200 towards membership (Kidsport). Can send any other information required. 11.01.2022 Classrooms are open tomorrow from 1:30-2:30 for learning journeys. Your children can show you around their classroom and show you their workbooks etc. Straight after school at 2:30-4:30pm there will be a Disco and Sausage/hamburger Sizzle held by the P&C. Please note that the sausage sizzle is after school and is not a lunch time meal! :)

08.01.2022 A great fun day to raise funds for the school

08.01.2022 Hot Cross bun fundraising event is finishing this Thursday the 3rd of April so get selling those packets of buns and support the P&C to support you. We also put a call out this week on our P&C news note for donations of Easter eggs for a raffle to begin this Monday. So far we have had only one parent come forward with some eggs. Each family that donates gets one free ticket in the draw. It is disappointing to have little support from parents for these fundraising events as I am sure everyone is happy to accept lower camp payments and excursion fees. Please think about donating something to the Easter rafle, and about selling as many Hot Cross Bun packets as you can. You support would be highly appreciated!!

06.01.2022 Parents please note that students return to school on TUESDAY October 15th. You may see and hear about other students returning to school on different days, this is due to schools being able to choose when they have their professional development days over the course of the year. So this is just to remind you that Southwell students return this Tuesday and we are looking forward to seeing you all! We hope you have been having a great holiday!!

04.01.2022 Graduation over for another years and boy, didn't the kids do a fantastic job. Thanks to all the parents that attended to see all the kids dance and watch the year 7's graduate. Thanks to the P&C for cooking and giving away some food and drinks. Another year draws to a close which is sad in some ways, but onwards and upwards towards 2014. Don't forget next year we are looking for new P&C members to be able to volunteer some time to the canteen to keep it running or it will ha...ve to close. If you have young children that will be with us for a while, it is a great opportunity to get involved with the school and help out.
