24.01.2022 First COVID 19 wedding this afternoon. 5 of us only in a forest venue. The couple are just happy to be able to marry in the middle of all the madness.

20.01.2022 AWESOME! Tomorrow, December 9th 2017, I and many other Celebrants across Australia will speak two small words that change the definition of Marriage in Australia. In the Monitum we remove the words "a man and a woman" and replace them with the words "two people". So now, Marriage according to Australian Law is the union of TWO PEOPLE, to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life". Sofie and Adrian will be my first couple to have that change included in their Ceremony. Beautiful couple and it promises to be a wonderful day.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Lindy and Dave today. Lovely couple. Very proud groom. And little Harper made the most gorgeous flower girl. Fabulous venue ... the first wedding held at Austins in Harvey. A great day.

16.01.2022 Oak Hill House soon to become a premier Wedding venue in Bridgetown I predict. A beautiful place. Congratulations to Storm and Shane on your Marriage today. A lovely vibe bringing two families of kids together in such an inclusive fashion. I feel honored to have been a part of it. Bradey Bunch eat your heart out.

14.01.2022 Weddings coming up for Spring but I presided today over a quite beautiful funeral ceremony at the wonderful old Dinninup hall. Bob Price was an extraordinary man and his family, friends and neighbors gave him a wonderful country farewell.

12.01.2022 Not long back from a beautifully restful week in Broome. 30 deg dry heat every day with gentle breezes. We spent two days at Eco Beach Resort 130 k's south of Broome. A wonderful place (albeit not cheap). Fabulous wedding venue. There was a small wedding while we were there ... held on the beach at Sunset Point then the reception dinner held under the stars. Absolutely idyllic.

10.01.2022 A sad occasion tomorrow when I conduct a memorial service for an old friend of ours Ngaire Nightingale. Ngaire was loved and treasured by many but we will celebrate her life and her passing appropriately

10.01.2022 What a stunning morning for Jimina and Paul to tie the knot. Beautiful Ford House lower garden. Rebelle and Copeland making such cute flower girls. Keen to see Victoria Baker's photographic work too.

08.01.2022 Well it's been an eventful few months. Some wonderful weddings and more to come. Congratulations to Shannon and James, Ashley and Letitia, Erica and Barry, Sophie and Rhys, Storm and Shane, Ribyn and Carl and the world famous and incredibly talented Emily and Lukas. But the downside is after a pretty rapid diagnosis I found myself in hospital having massive surgery for colon cancer 5 weeks before Christmas. After a nervous wait I was given the good news of all clear.. The bri...lliant surgical team got the lot.. And a lot of me while they were at it. So grateful to Dr Agrawal and his assistant Dr Shepherd. And thanks to all the wonderful nursing staff in Surgical Ward at Bunbury Regional. They are all amazing. And now the months of recuperation... Slow but steady. But I can still perform weddings although I've given up the unicycle. All good. I find out in February about going back in to have the colostomy reversed.. Its amazing what they can do. See more

08.01.2022 Mandy and Mike having tied the knot.

08.01.2022 A beautiful day for a beautiful Ceremony last Saturday when Leonie and George tied the knot. And what a special setting, beneath the magnificent oaks on Leonie's family farm where she grew up. Very special moments when both read their Vows to one another. I always say that the best weddings are when the Groom sheds a tear ... so thank you George for that special insight into the emotion that marrying Leonie raised in you. A lovely event that I was proud to be a part of.

07.01.2022 Some wonderful events coming. A beautiful Renewal of Vows for a couple celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary and a farm wedding with the Reception in an old time country hall. Fabulous stuff that I am honoured and privileged to be a part of.

07.01.2022 Its looking like stunning weather for George and Leonie's farm wedding under the oak trees tomorrow . A very special event in every way.

07.01.2022 Very special day on Saturday with Sofie and Adrian marrying in Bridgetown. Some beautiful moments, and I was very proud myself to be able to speak the words in the Monitum that recognise Marriage Equality for the first time, on the first day they became Law in Australia. Here's to many more.

06.01.2022 Caught up with Megan and Andrew recently. They were married in October 2015 on a beautiful Deeside farm. An absolutely beautiful new baby ... smiling at everyone. Heart melting. Congratulations you two. It's always incredibly gratifying to meet one of your couples with their first (in particular) new addition to the family unit. Very very special.

06.01.2022 A beautiful day and a beautiful venue for Sophie and Rhys' wedding day. A fabulous restoration of a 100 plus year old shearing shed done by Rhys and his Dad and a few helpers and then the arch that Rhys constructed from farm history. A stunning bridal party ... everything perfect.

06.01.2022 Thank you Cheryl and Shaun for having me work with you on your wonderful wedding day. What a venue on the banks of the Blackwood River at sunset with a piper on the hill. Have a wonderful life together

05.01.2022 Sorry I have been absent from my page for sometime. But ... let's catch up. Beautiful morning this morning ... a stunning Bridgetown Autumn day .... just right for an intimate and simple garden wedding in our own front garden. The second bloom of roses in full flight, my bees busy with the English Ivy flowering and Mellissa and Clint happily saying "I Do" . Perfect. Smaller "Registry-style" weddings seem to becoming more popular ... little or no fuss over t...he Ceremony and a small celebration with close friends later. And why not. . The poet Pam Brown wrote: "A wedding does not depend on flowers Or bells or candles, choirs or lace. It does not need a great congregation Or a vast marquee. Only two people taking the courage to leave one life And find another - trusting each other for true patience forbearance, strength and love To face any hardship that the years may bring." See more
