25.01.2022 A great spot for our Executive Committee meeting.
23.01.2022 Our member sites aren’t just to visit! You can buy stuff too!
22.01.2022 Great event coming up
21.01.2022 This is only a couple of weeks away. One of our Member sites - in fact one of their amazing staff is our Association Secretary! Don't miss out! And the opening just coincides with the Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival -- more reasons to head to Manjimup
21.01.2022 Sadly many of our sites will be affected. However, lovely places like Golden Valley Tree Park Balingup should be very safe for a walk. Just keep your distance :-)
20.01.2022 So this page has 180 "likers" and we cover 30 member sites. We're having a bit of a competition - we want to hit 300 ASAP! Main objective is of course to spread the word about our sites. Secondary? We want to give a prize! So, get those invites happening! #southwestworkinglife #giveaway #hit300 #australiassouthwest
19.01.2022 Our President Amanda is on a quick road trip to her home territory of the Goldfields. Never one to let an opportunity go by she’s hand delivering our brochures along the way! Follow the journey here the next couple odd days!
17.01.2022 Amazing. Who was your favourite nurse?
17.01.2022 Might see who can guess where this is before I give the game away?
16.01.2022 Did a swap with the lovely ladies here. It’s an amazing spot! RV friendly town too. Got the 3 Bs of tourism - Bakery, Beauty & Boggas!!
15.01.2022 Well the lovely staff at the visitor centre in the Mother of the Goldfields now has our brochures!

12.01.2022 An interest photo. The following illustrates just how big the railways were here in Collie. The shunting yards: so many lines. Premier Hotel can be seen in the background. The quality of the photo is not the best but the size of the yard can still be appreciated.
07.01.2022 We are shifting focus for the next couple of months. Many of our sites are in temporary closure and our committee has deferred our AGM until later in the year. We have the agreement of our member sites to continue on in our roles until that time. So. this will be our main vehicle to promote industrial heritage - the Working Life Heritage Trail. To that end - there will be prizes given at milestones on the page - 200, 300 etc "likers". Spread the word, invite your friends.... And share your photo stash of working life images. Towns, tools, odds & sods! Let's grow this amazing Trail community until we once again get out there.
07.01.2022 Ian is also the former President of our organisation, and such an asset to heritage in the South West.
06.01.2022 Now we did say while we weren't having our face to face committee meetings we wouldn't be slacking off. We are a "working" life heritage trail after all. This one is from the President's personal collection. Pemberton Mill, 1920's and the gentleman is Gordon Robinson originally from Greenbushes. #pembertonmill #pembertonhistory
05.01.2022 The Lovely Lynda Anderson was our no. 200! Congratulations Lynda. Can you pm the page so we can arrange your little prize? Keep inviting your friends -- no. 300 won't take long.
05.01.2022 Fantastic new exhibition
04.01.2022 We’re getting busier and busier! New display just installed today showing the domestic history attached to our wonderful working life heritage trail
03.01.2022 It's been quiet here lately. Our committee has been doing a lot of work in preparation for our AGM on 14th October in Manjimup. Some big decisions will be made and announcements to follow from that. We encourage everyone to jump onto their local history pages, and support the heritage sites we have in the South West. Lost Boyup Brook, Manjimup Heritage Park, Pemberton Visitor Centre Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Busselton Jetty, Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre, Alverstoke Homestead, White Rocks Dairy Farm, Greenbushes Eco Discovery Centre
03.01.2022 What a great tribute to one of our Association's member sites owners.
