20.01.2022 As we start to peer around the corner and reimagine work in a post COVID environment, many people will be reconsidering how they will work in the future, evaluating what the lockdown taught them and searching for what opportunities lay ahead. The queen of remote working and new WSHQ member Jo Palmer from Pointer Remote shared this white paper with me. What we are both seeing is a collision of events and activities that will be a catalyst of opportunity in the regions. Post-...COVID many people will be looking for more remote working options. Getting out of the city and moving their home and work somewhere that provides better livability and lifestyle, minimal commutes and a job that they have now proven can be down outside the metro confines. This is an important time for our regions and for the co working spaces that exist outside the metro centres. Over the past two weeks, WSHQ has seen an increase in office space inquiry. From people moving to the region, people planning to holiday in the region and people wanting to break up the 100% home office environment. We have one lockable office space left and three semi-permanent desk spaces available. You do not have to be a startup to be part of our community and dip your toe into the future of work - right in the regional heartland and the most livable regional city in Australia. Reach out we would love to hear from you! https://openwork.agency/future-of-coworking

15.01.2022 Any cafes, services etc that deliver in Wagga: DELIVERY OPTIONS FOR FAMILIES IN ISOLATION Good morning!... My name is Vanessa Jennings and I work in Social Planning for Wagga Wagga City Council. We have received several calls from community members who are in isolation to find out who is able to provide delivery services - especially food. We are working to collate this information to put up on Councils website as a quick reference. We have been contacting businesses and would like to pose the question to anyone in this group if you would be willing to advertise that you do deliveries. I appreciate your help and support. My contact details are [email protected] 0408 481 462

10.01.2022 Hi wonderful co-working community and supporters. I understand everyone has been busy 'surviving' over the past few days and adjusting to the uncertainty of the future. I have been discussing this a lot with other co-working and innovation leaders across Australia and around the world. What is important now is you and your families. When you are ready to think and talk about work, we are here. Many of you may have concerns and building fear and anxiety over what this may al...l mean for your business or startup. You are not alone! Next week I will hold a group zoom for Riverina startups and small businesses to offer support and tools to assist you. Watch this space for details. To ensure the content and speakers are relevant to your needs please comment below on what you want to be discussed or presented. Over the coming weeks, I will be posting a variety of tools and resources for you all. If you are working remote make sure you plug into all the wonderful content Pointer Remote Roles is posting. If you are outside the startup community, remember entrepreneurs deal with uncertainty and disruption on a daily basis and their skills and thoughts should be a valuable contributor to problems you are facing. Reach out if you have a problem that our community may be able to help solve. Above all remember that innovation shines in times of disruption and change. Stay well Di https://www.washingtonpost.com//during-pandemic-isaac-new/
