04.01.2022 This morning was difficult. Over such small things - emotions can get frayed. Unable to find frankies school tie, I fretted we would be late. Then I found it but of course had put my phone down somewhere and got in the car and keys werent in the handbag. Frustration levels rose. My children got out to come and help me find my phone - and perhaps that support is what helped me. I still lost my rational thinking, feeling like today should just curl up in a ball and disappear -... but somehow we got to school. We carry so many levels of tension when we try to be in control of life. Being five minutes late isnt the worst thing in the world, but if you cling to a state of perfection then it will cause self hatred and loathing. I met my rage this morning. I hope the children see that the sun still shines and life continues even when it seems like things are falling apart. #realmshift #identity #collapse #mentalhealth #breakdown See more
