18.01.2022 Have you got Personality Plus? Do your colleagues confuse the bejeepers out of you? Every wondered why your partner behaves the way they do? And your kids ????? Sometimes you think they must be inhabited by aliens right :) What if there was a simple way to determine the personality of the people you come in contact with, so you know how to communicate with them effectively, and get the outcomes you really want. Personality tests are designed to gather information about tempe...rament, character traits, decision-making methods, communication styles, behaviour and attitude towards life, work, education, recreation and people. This information helps us to understand why we think, feel and behave the way that we do, and why people may behave so differently when faced with the same circumstances. Understanding our strengths and weaknesses, helps us to align our careers and lives with who we are. When we align our behaviours with our personality, life is generally easier; we have more energy, better health, better careers, and our relationships are more fulfilling. Join us at 5.30pm ACST on Wednesday 30th September for a fun online workshop on Personality Profiling. Register Now: https://personalityprofilingsai.eventbrite.com.au

11.01.2022 Peggy Whitson. Born in a small town in Iowa - population 32. NASA Chief Astronaut and Biochemist. Spent 665 days on the International Space Station. I was listening to her speak the other day, and she said that what is so amazing when you look at the Earth from space, is that it's one world, one people. No geographic boundaries. Incredible human being with an amazing story. It occurred to me that we have the same perspective with today's technology. The benefit of using Zoom ...and other online platforms is that there are no geographic boundaries. We can connect with anyone, anywhere, on any device. For those businesses and individuals that have embraced this technology, it has opened up the entire world. With the entire world zoom zooming everywhere, it's really important that we use this incredible tool the right way to get the right results. However, many people are making rookie mistakes. We have one chance to make a great first impression whenever we connect - online or offline. Join us on Wednesday 16th September at 5.30pm ACST for a quick walk through on the do's and dont's of online connection. Learn how to use online platforms for success and engage with your clients and colleagues the right way. Click here to book your FREE ticket: https://zoometiquette.eventbrite.com.au/ See more

08.01.2022 Unless you've been living under a rock somewhere, you would know that the entire planet has gone potty for loo paper. Supermarket shelves around the world have been pillaged and plundered for every last sheet of this precious commodity. Normally sane individuals have jumped into the fray with gusto and wild abandon. This has me bewildered. If we are at the end of days, as the media would have us believe, why is toilet paper at the very top of the survival essentials list? Cor...onavirus is a flu-like illness, so I could understand tissues, and I would hope that you have already embraced and mastered the habit of hand-washing. So why has the need for toilet paper spread across the globe faster than the virus itself? To understand this, you would need to understand human nature, and the science of persuasion. Two principles spring to mind, scarcity and social proof. Definitely a powerful combo. When a commodity is thought to be in short supply, we immediately try to source as much of it as we can, in order to avoid missing out. And if everyone is doing it, then it must have substance and value, and therefore we should do it too. I'm reminded of the YouTube video of dancing man. This lone young man starts dancing and everyone thinks he's a little weird. But soon another person joins him, and something starts to happen. Others join in too, and pretty soon, we have a movement. When it's the norm, and everyone is doing it, then it must be okay, and we should do it too - Social Proof. (here's the YouTube clip if you want to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO8MwBZl-Vc ) Of course, the media has played a role in this hysteria, whipping the public into a frenzy over the crisis for the sake of ratings. One station even aired the movie 'Outbreak' immediately following a news update on the Corona CRISIS. Bad form. With great power comes great responsibility. So, what does this have to do with Body Language I hear you ask? Nonverbal communication accounts for 55% of our message. We can be powerful influencers and leaders, just by understanding the nonverbal messages we send, and the ability to be able to read the nonverbal messages of others. This is a critical skill, not just in business, but also in everyday life. How great would it be if you could tell when your client is resonating with your message, or your teenager has been less than truthful, simply by being able to understand their non-verbal cues? This can be your superpower, and we're excited to share some strategies with you at our upcoming event: Body Language Matters - The Secret Language of Leaders. It's just 5 sleeps away, so make sure you grab your FREE ticket now. Here's the link: https://bodylanguagematters.eventbrite.com.au Looking forward to sharing the evening with you and of course great networking with your peers. Bring your business cards, as we have a fabulous 'door prize' gift that you won't want to miss. see you there

07.01.2022 According to Mark Twain, everyone is nervous when they are catapulted in front of a crowd to speak..... and if they deny the existence of nerves, they must be a liar. Interesting!! I tend to agree .... up to a point. You may have nerves in some circumstances but not others, and there are definitely strategies that you can employ to overcome your nerves. You will also find that different strategies tend to work for different people. The good news is that these are learned skills and everyone can learn them. Join us at an upcoming event and conquer your fear of Public Speaking NOW. #SpeakAndInspire #PublicSpeaking #Butterflies #Success #ConfidenceCatapult
