22.01.2022 SPEAK Program is looking forward to working with Paxus, Australia’s leading provider of technology, digital and SAP talent solutions. We'll be identifying speaking strengths and areas to develop, exploring presentation structure and planning, and working together to produce group presentations. The SPEAK Program is a supportive, encouraging and fun workshop that helps participants start building a speaker's toolbox of presentation skills.

18.01.2022 Productive and fun presentation at today's Paxus Sales Conference. A 1.5 hour workshop that had the participants working on voice, body language and eye contact, as well as presentation structure and strategies to help control nerves. Lots of participation and some fun storytelling. Well done to all who actively participated, especially after a big conference dinner evening.

18.01.2022 When you're presenting, what is your stance saying about you? Are you standing in the 'pub' stance with legs wide apart? Or perhaps you're standing in the 'ballerina' stance with one foot tucked behind the other. You may even be doing the shifting weight stance with one foot in front of the other. How you stand when you present helps to make you feel and look confident. A grounded stance with feet hip width apart will give you a strong stance. It is also a stance that will help to alleviate any nervous shifting of your weight from one foot to the other. How you stand makes an impact on your audience. The next time you are making a formal presentation, be aware of how you're standing and aim for a grounded stance.

10.01.2022 Enjoyed working with Paxus in Sydney this week. Great people! They were all keen to participate and challenge themselves by stepping out of their comfort zone. During the SPEAK Program workshop we identified their speaking strengths and areas to develop, explored presentation planning approaches with group work and had some fun with story telling. A delightful group to work with and help them start to build a toolbox of presentation skills.

07.01.2022 "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?"... Passion is not only for Romeo and Juliet - passion can be used to gain confidence in public speaking and presenting. Perhaps you are nervous about presenting? If so, I recommend speaking about something you are passionate about to help you gain confidence and slay those nerves. Your passion may be sport or your children. It may be books, theatre or beer! You may be passionate about climate change or the global refug...ee crisis. Whatever it is you are passionate about, speaking about it, will help you control your nerves. By being passionate, your passion takes over from your nerves and allows you to forget about how you may be feeling inside. Instead you are focusing on getting your passionate message across to your audience. Passion is contagious to your audience! Your passion will help to awaken your audience's enthusiasm in your presentation. It will mean that they will also be focusing on your message and be impressed with the passion you have for your topic. So go ahead - be passionate!
