21.01.2022 The staff at Spearfishing Tonga are very busy at present with the Whale Swim Season. However, by mid October the humpback whales will be migrating south again and our amazing crew will be getting geared up for our spearfishing season. Our "gun guides", (Johnny and Layne) will be running a series of spearfishing expeditions during October and November. It's not to late to join us. MSM us if you have any interest, this time of the year is "peak season" with great weather and fishing conditions and the peak period for Dog Tooth Tuna and wahoo.

15.01.2022 So this past Saturday the 6th of July, the Nuku'alofa Fishing Club hosted a social Spearfishing/Fishing competition and Blue Water Explorer (Rob Torelli) was the main sponsor. We put together a team, Rob, Forrest and myself to take on the local Tongan boys and we did not disappoint. Tasman, our fishing guide also did not let us down and claimed first position in the Fishing Catagory. I took out first and second place respectively with a nice Doggie and Rob took 3rd place with... a beaut of a Jobfish for local waters. Our combined weight put us on top of the leaderboard for the team section. So well done to Blue Water Explorer. And thanks for the great sponsorship. Really looking forward to the next one. 14.01.2022 Spearfishing is on Fire in Tonga atm.... Book now for the season. This 36kg Sailfish couldn't resist some East African influence on the flasher. Book a trip now before mid November for your chance at a world class fish. Wahoo shoals are here and some serious fish around.

11.01.2022 The fish are not only thick while diving. These two beauties we caught withing 20 minutes of each other on a little fishing break while we took one of our vessels across to Ha'apai. Cuda was caught on a vertical jig and the Doggie while trawling a rapala.

09.01.2022 Got to share a great experience with some of the local boys here in Nuku'alofa. Some really beautiful reef diving. No big guys around but got tested on my down times and stealth with some very nice Boha or Two Spot Snappers. Come join me on a spearing trip of a life time and test your skills on some crafty reefies.
