This is a sneak peak of a felted piece that has been driving @feltwilde @printscharmingoriginalfabrics insane ... Its worth it ladies. Line of the project when I enquired as to how it was going yesterday was a day of anchoring it down for some house keeping. Like a defiant teenager there was a bit of rebellion! The sweep of moulded plywood from the back rest down to the armrest the perfect comfort addition. The other extra great thing is the price, Case Furniture prides, no demands, that the pieces they produce are ‘excellent design and good value’ and very importantly, original design. 12.01.2022 Shadowplay is the theme of our hide and seek game during the construction and dressing of the new showroom. Hundreds of meters of beautiful rice paper were cut in lengths, lovingly striped with subtle inks by current and old team members, dried on washing lines hung all over the old showroom like a Chinese laundry, rerolled then hung along our 30 meters of windows at the new Danks St showroom. @andres.ripamonti ( creator of this video) then created multiple cardboard maq...uettes of our favourite pieces that we hung after some much needed hilarity. We fantasised about candle light ... but thought better of it . Just FYI our concealing curtain will be up for longer than anticipated but you already knew that. 03.01.2022 A sneak peak of one of two installations being prepared by the wonderful Gill @feltwilde and Cath @thehappenstore for the new showroom. I cannot speak highly enough of these two power house Women of Cloth. Like me they are #textileaddict s but they are walking the walk in a very much more immediate fashion. They champion and practice re reuse, recycle and handmade by practicing and reintroducing the crafts built around those ideas by our forebears. Crafts developed to facilit...ate keeping precious garments/upholstery/rugs/blankets etc longer simultaneously being mindful of their environment and fiscal wellbeing. Also as a way I think to deliver respect and love to the pieces that were made often with love and gifted so they become memory keepers themselves. Both Cath and Gill and a wonderful band of other artisans teach their techniques to hundreds of humans throughout the year so the love can disseminate.
