24.01.2022 We are so lucky that Horseland Midland has an amazing range of Bomber, Trust and (soon to be) Sprenger bits in store! All of which, are available on trial; buy the bit after researching and talking to the very friendly and informative staff and if you dont want to buy it after your trial, receive 90% of your money back upon returning it. Such a great concept! Once Miss Flo (Florenzia WK) was home from the breakers and settled with her new life as a Dressage Diva, I felt it ...was time to change her to a different snaffle as she got more confident with me. As she has a lovely, soft mouth, I decided to go with a similar snaffle to what my other horses go in, but to try the Bombers Bits as they are slightly finer for her little mouth. I decided on the Bombers Elliptical Loose Ring. *Little tip- if you buy the Bradoon version, you can continue to use it when/if you upgrade to a double bridle and save buying a new snaffle with your Weymouth! Just make sure it still fits within the rules for your discipline. The Loose Ring allows for immediate relief from tongue and bar pressure. Whilst the Lozenge is flattened on the bottom to give a larger and softer surface area against the tongue. The join between the mouthpiece arms and lozenge has also been altered to lay as flat as possible, making this a kind and comfortable bit with no Nutcracker effect

18.01.2022 Bring on 2021 With my rehab amping up and the hope I’ll be back on board at least 1 horse soon, time is becoming even more precious. I will continue to teach over summer but obviously, there are only so many hours in a day. Feel free to book in advance with a first in, best dressed policy however, all after school/work hours are already fully booked. ... A gentle reminder that lessons are strictly 1 hour at my property and in Wandi and 45minutes off property, so please be warmed up and on time to make the best use of your lesson time! Bank transfers are accepted as payment, however, must be made on the day of the lesson with the receipt forwarded to me as tracking payments can be very time consuming!

14.01.2022 It was very exciting to be able to use my favourite show products , available from Horseland Midland, to get Redskin ready for the very well run Perth Dressage competition sponsored by Alan Matthews Racing-thank you! I surprised myself that I did in fact, remember how to plait! The lovely Idol had his first go cruising around an elementary, coming home with a very respectable 67% and 2nd place. Thank you Pat for entrusting me with him. Redskin and I added another Grand Pr...ix start to our names with a heap to improve but also lots to be happy about to finish on 66%. The biggest congratulations to not only my dressage diva clients who smashed out some super tests with scores to match, but also my crazy eventers who also did amazing things at Gidge! It was so nice to be able to be back out and about again and seeing everyones friendly faces, we are so lucky here in little WA! 13.01.2022 Feeling very grateful that for the time being (whilst taking the appropriate precautions) we are still able to continue with our wonderful sport. I have however, just successfully completed a video lesson. So going forward, this can be an option providing you have decent internet connection, a friend to hold the video and a pair of Bluetooth headphones! It may still be a little trial and error but today was a success!

07.01.2022 Saddle cleaning Sundays! I had never really thought too much about how I clean my saddles and what I wanted out of the product until I was blessed with my Amerigo saddles. I want to make sure I care for them as best as I can so they last forever because I cant imagine riding without them! First step; ... 04.01.2022 Starting 2020 off on the right foot with some of my favourite Tonic Stardust boots! With their soft leather, elastic laces and super arch support, I find these boots so easy to wear all day long! Not to mention easy to quickly slip on with the zips as I seem to always be in a rush! 03.01.2022 Trying to fool myself (and everyone else) that maybe one day I could be an eventer I love using the PEI Air-cooled eventing boots in summer. With the air vent cooling system, along with the lightweight nature of the boots, they keep the tendons cool in our hot summer whilst providing maximum protection. 01.01.2022 It’s coming up to 9 long weeks that I’ve been out of the saddle now and 6 to go! (Well hopefully...not that I’m counting! ) I’m very lucky that I am still able to teach from home and hopefully soon, I will be able to travel too!
