02.01.2022 As long as you oppose one side and cling to the other, self-realisation or liberation is unattainable. (PL 144) Today, are you willing to ask for help when you need it? OR ... You keep numbing and hiding your feelings of fear and helplessness, pain and contraction. You keep excluding these ‘bad’ states perceiving them as ‘not me’. You willing through life by ignoring your ‘unflattering’ sides and holding high your ideal mask of being fine, in control and accepting those states with the belief of ‘this is life’ and ‘I just need to keep going on and be done with’. By denying, avoiding and ignoring those painful feelings you activate the self-generating, perpetual vicious cycles of negativity, depression, anxiety and hopelessness. Why I am sharing it with you! Because I used to be in such vicious cycles feeling unhappy, sad, lonely, scared, angry, depressed, judgemental, special and confused. What an incredible pain I have been enduring by clinging to my ideal self-image and to the belief of being in control. And what a high price I have had to pay for such a choice! At some point (years back) I realised I didn’t want to have this pain any longer. I accepted the need for help, for clarity, for change, for facing the self!! I realised that if I close off myself from ‘bad’ feelings then I also close off its opposite side - ‘great feelings’. I choose to open up for learning, collapsing, getting up again, accepting, recognising, asking for help, hopping, building, letting go. It is an adventurous journey and now I am equiped and strong enough to help others professionally and from personal experiences. We haven’t been created to suffer, we are created to be joyful, happy, use our inner power to create beauty, abundance, love and have fun. And it is absolutely possible to reach those life supporting states, if you choose so. I did. I am intending to open up monthly supportive discussion and sharing circles at Askara.
