05.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Homeschool sports sessions running at Mandurah, Baldivis, and Fremantle are cancelled for the remainder of Term 1 due to COVID-19. Term 2, 2020 will hopefully run as usual allowing just over one month to see how things progress. COVID-19: MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS These times are unprecedented as we need to consider our vulnerable groups and those with pre-existing conditions. We all need to work together ensuring those that are asymptomatic don't spread the viru...s and the vulnerable groups are isolated and protected by their loved ones. Covid-19 can be caught from coughing etc, is asymptomatic, and survives on surfaces for several days, so early intervention not allowing the Virus to spread seems to be the feeling as what we are seeing in Europe is quite concerning. Social isolation seems the best method as areas such as public transport, shopping centres, all schools of learning, religious gatherings including any sporting events (nature of sports itself) with any facility running sports activities such as recreation centres, these would have to be locations that the Virus could get the better of us. 03.01.2022 "Well done to the whole of WA" Currently the way things are progressing a Term 3, 2020 re-start of all my homeschool coaching is likely. The key indicators for this start date include (1) zero transmission of cases in WA (as seems to currently be occurring), (2) recreation centres have re-opened, and (3) all team sports (Netball, Football, AFL etc) are up and running as usual. If these three indicators are looking good then Term 3 will be starting for sure. This will also start Homeschool Sports WA new vision with running zones out of Joondalup, Leederville, Midland, Armadale, Fremantle, Baldivis and Mandurah. So fingers crossed and stay save.
