19.01.2022 We just watched this on Netflix. A very interesting documentary on how the earth can be healed with a change in farming practises. Here at Springfern Farm we use Regenerative Agriculture techniques here to heal and grow our soil. We strip graze our cattle and they are only grass fed, we also use our chickens to rotate around our pastures and naturally fertilise our land. ... When you buy from Springfern Farm you have the peace of mind to know we are farming to build soil and sequester carbon.

12.01.2022 Expressions of Interest - I have about 400 hens looking for new homes in the next few weeks! These hens are still laying very well, however I need to make space for my next flock of Pullets.... These hens are $10 each, minimum order of 4 hens. Collections will be made from about half and hour after sunset. You will be given and an allocated time to collect and we will have them boxed up ready to load and go. If you need an early allocated time to be home by please put that in your request. All collections will need to be done between 7pm - 7:45pm each night. Collection is from Cockatoo. 10.01.2022 2 years ago today we started our Pastured Egg Farming business. We now have over 4x the amount of chickens than what we started with! We are still growing and learning everyday and I love where this journey is taking us! We have many loyal customers and we are grateful for your support! ... I love how these girls are repairing our soil and regenerating the land just being chickens! We have more plans of further growth and development across the farm and look forward to what the future brings!

06.01.2022 Springfern Farm is a chickens paradise!! Our lovely ladies live a real free range life in these beautiful paddocks! Do your eggs come from chickens that live like this? Take a close look at your egg cartons. You should be wanting no more than 1,500 hens per hectare, the lower the better! I hate to say it but 10,000 hens per hectare is not free range in my books! Pasture Raised Eggs are the healthiest eggs your can buy as the chickens live in the most natural environment and are free to roam all day everyday on grass and are rotated on to fresh pasture regularly.
