04.01.2022 We dont have answers about everything going on, but we do have something to say about biblical justice. The Hebrew word for justice is mishpat, and it most oft...en refers to restorative justice. This is more than just being a good person; its active. Its about seeking out vulnerable people who are experiencing injustice and working to correct it. Its advocating for the oppressed and striving to change social structures that foster injustice. And we see this modeled in the person of Jesus, who confronted the broken social structures of his day and protected the vulnerable. As followers of Jesus, we must look for ways to restore justice and to correct wrongdoing, giving voice to the oppressed and condemning systematic injustice and racism wherever we see it.
