09.01.2022 Dear Devotees, Temple closure to devotees from 1PM 22/08/20 for the afternoon Chathurthi Festival Queensland Government has announced (today 22/08) new public health measures related to the COVID19 cluster. ... Gatherings in worships places have been reduced to 10 people at any one time for residents in Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Scenic Rim, Moreton Bay and Redlands local government areas. Reference to this government announcement, HASQ management committee has decided to close the temple for public from 1PM (22 Aug 2020). Chathurthi festival's Homam and Vasanthamandapa Poojas live telecast will be on the temple Facebook accordance to the following schedule; Ganapathi Homam - 5PM to 6PM on 22/08/2020 Vasanthamandapa Pooja and lord Vinayakar Circumambulation inner Veedhi - 7.30PM on 22/08/2020 Future daily Vasanthmandapa poojas (morning - 9.15 AM and evening -7.15 PM) also can be seen live on the temple facebook page. 06.01.2022 Dear Devotees, Temple is opened for public from this afternoon (23 Aug 2020). On 22 Aug 2020 for the Chathurthi morning festival unexpected number of devotees turned up for prayers. It was hard to manage them under the COVID-19 management plan. We were convinced that there will be similar or more devotees turning up for the night festival. It would have been pretty hard or impossible to manage under the COVID 19 management plan.... Therefore, the HASQ management committee in order, not to violate the Government ruling, decided to close the temple and live stream the proceedings (festival conducted only by the Priests) in the temple facebook. Since then, the management committee has decided to reopen the temple to the public from this afternoon (23 Aug 2020). Please note that hereafter we will live stream only the Vasantha Mandapa Poojai every Friday at about 7.15PM. Temple canteen will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.30AM to 1PM. It is important to follow the COVID-19 guidelines in the canteen area as well. We may have to take actions to mitigate if the Government place further restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic.
