22.01.2022 14 sleeps til Christmas. The photo was taken yesterday as we celebrated making it through 2020. I would like to thank everyone for giving Katrina and me such great support throughout this year The Centre will close for the Christmas break from Thursday 17th December and reopen on Tuesday 5th January 2021. Until then we will be here to assist anyone in need, have chats and laughs as well as for food assistance.

18.01.2022 Today, 8th September 2020 is the the global celebration of International Literacy Day. I am proud to tell you I have just completed an Adult Numeracy & Literacy qualification. Many people had bad experiences at school and don't feel confident with their spelling or maths and others can't read or write at all. The Centre will know be able to help people in this situation and change their lives. let's celebrate Love from Dawn



18.01.2022 Remembrance Day 11th November. Remembrance Day in Australia is dedicated to Australians who died or suffered as a result of war, particularly from World War I onward. We are also celebrating NAIDOC week. At least 1,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers served during World War I, and as many as 8,000 may have signed up during World War II. Thank you all for your sacrifice

17.01.2022 It is important to spend time in the sunshine to keep your vitamin D levels up. Some rain expected over the weekend so when you see sunshine in between showers pop outside and soak up some vitamin D. When natural sunlight hits the skin it triggers the body's production of vitamin D. Vitamin D is also known as the sunshine vitamin. It is a crucial ingredient for overall health; protects against inflammation, lowers high blood pressure, helps muscles, improves brain function and may even protect against cancer.

Sishir will be working with Amal to promote our Centre to the Shepparton community and let as many people as possible know the benefits of the services and friendship on offer here.

15.01.2022 It is time to wish Sheryl and Gerry Wilson "Bon Voyage" as they leave Shepparton and move back to Darwin. They have both been very helpful to the Centre and its members. Sheryl has been a volunteer and also on the Committee. Everyone at the Centre wish you both well and the best of everything on your adventure and into the future.

03.01.2022 I'm back! Did you miss me? Probably not as Bernadette and Katrina did such a good job. I will tell you about my travels during my annual leave. I went to the grocery store 3 times, the chemist once and I won't tell how many times I visited the bottle shop. Plenty of time to catch up on housework but I am proud to tell you I didn't do it. Sorry for the blurry photo but I feel I look better that way! Give me a call if you would like to catch up.

02.01.2022 GREAT NEWS! The Centre is able to open for all purposes with up to 20 people maximum indoors and up to 10 people per space, subject to density quotient of 1 per 4m2. (No more than 5 people per space singing or using wind instruments for amateur groups.) MASKS must be warn and social distancing to continue at all time
