10.01.2022 Wearing gloves while in public? Are you really protecting yourself? . Gloves are worn in a medical profession to avoid cross contamination. We use them as single use, single patients use and discard them when changing tasks or going into different areas. ... . For example, if you are wearing them while shopping at a large shopping centre, every surface you touch, every shop you enter, every item you touch, you are carrying all those germs on your gloves. If you are touching your handbag, your phone, your wallet with those gloves, you are spreading the virus onto those items. When you take the gloves off and then re touch your hand bag, your phone, your wallet, your keys you have just spread the virus onto your hands. If you are putting groceries in you trolley with gloves on, just remember when you get home, you will have taken your gloves off to pack them groceries away... meaning whatever germs on your gloves when you placed it in your trolley and now transferred to your bare hands at home.. . Where if you just hand sanitised or washed your hands after touching surfaces, trolley handles, rails you would not have this same issue. You would not be spreading the virus to your belongings that you are going to retouch again later that day. . We recommend carrying some detergent wipes with you as well, and wipe the handle, rail before touching and even spread the wipe over the inside of your hand and use the wipe as a barrier between your hand and rail if you are needing to hold a rail for support when going up or down stairs. . #staysafe #besmartaboutit See more
